awesome
- Pros: Small and cheap. Works Great for the price. I'd buy it again, if I need one.
We got it for an old desktop with xp that was about 50ft away and it got good reception, decent enough for web browsing. But we replaced the desktop with a laptop so its just laying around now.
*other thought: We use a Dlink DIR-615, if that matters to anyone. Worked well unprotected network, but i had some issues with setting up a wep. Maybe im just noob at that.
Hope this helps others.
- Cons: I kept misplacing the mini disc it came with for the drivers. But I guess it wasn't too much of a hassle to find the drivers online. You need the drivers.
- Other Thoughts: Was lanning it up playing some C-Strike with some friends and I lent it to a buddy who was located too far from the wireless router to plug in hes ethernet cable. It worked good for him at a 20-30ft range. I dont think he got any lag. I played on my laptop and I think I got more lag than him not because of my video card either.
- Pros: had it for 3 YEARS and works as good now as the day I bought it. does WPA/WPA2 although newegg says it doesn't, 60-70% signal strength with router on second floor and adapter in the basement, plug and play with most linux distro's, vista and win 7
- Cons: gets somewhat warm but it was cheap, didnt have free shipping? seriously 3 years for twenty bucks so I can complain
- Other Thoughts: if you want a cheap wireless adapter then this is it. buy it, now
works great
- Pros: works as described
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: i am using it at a close range through one wall & it has 100% signal strength. doesn't seem to have drop out problems.
