5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Product works well, and the two that I bought have not had a single problem in the last 2 years.

Signal Pickup was not tested rigorously but I still get full signal strength through a wall and up a floor.

With the cable internet that I have, I have not notice any real downsize in bandwidth.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsGood Simple Product until it died.

Pros: Inexpensive product, worked well for 5 months. Easy to set up. I connected mine to a USB 2.0 cable so I could plug the cord in the back of the computer and set the dongle on the desk above all the interference caused by electrical wires & wall outlet. Connection to hub using "G" was almost never dropped, and connection to "N" 150mbs was stable (after i changed the "N" channel on the AP).

Cons: Worked 5 months. Item was normal temperature most of the time. Item got burning hot (130f+ degrees) and stopped working. Unplugging item and cooling would allow item to see the wireless networks for about 30 seconds but would then heat up and not connect and then not see the networks. RMA in progress (wish I bought it from Newegg!).

Other Thoughts: Other than dying a hot hot death, it's a good simple product.

3 out of 5 eggsJUST OKAY

Pros: Price - that's it.

Cons: Drops connection occasionally.

Other Thoughts: Comes with the same exact config software as the Rosewill models, but the Rosewill works better, connects at faster speeds, and stays connected.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works perfectly with Win7 64bit. Plug and play.

Cons: A bit large, so be certain you have some space around it. Not a big deal if it's your only peripheral in that spot.

Other Thoughts: Great product. Does what it is supposed to.

2 out of 5 eggsIs good, just not at range.

Pros: Works great! **Just not at range**

Cons: At about 15-20 ft from my router I got sudden ping spikes, and network crashes and counldn't determine the issue. Today, I moved it about 20-25 ft away from my router and it started to crash far faster and worse than before. Therefore leading me to the conclusion that this adapter doesn't work well more than 10 ft away from a router. AZiO, feel free to contact me. I would appreciate some help.

Other Thoughts: It is a great adapter and I can't say that enough. However like almost all cheap adapters, it can't do anything at any distance.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Wi-Fi type-n, small, simple and easy to use. Keep in mind it's a millimeter or two thicker all-round than a USB Flashdrive so it will likely block access to all USB ports around it; should get a short extension cord if you think that will be an issue. LED activity indicator is classic green. Can be used as an access point if the system you connect it to has it's own access to the internet. Honestly I have no complaints about the hardware at all.

Cons: My only complaint is in the software which is needlessly complex and clearly not for even educated people who only know basics for wireless networking. Well I'm smart enough about these things to know that doing the same thing over and over doesn't work so I wound up popping the router WEP code (which was written on a sticker next to WPA that only made things more difficult but not blaming the unit for that) in random authentication lines. By default the WEP passcode lines are set to Hexadecimal format up to 10 characters and that's not long enough but then I noticed the format had a dropdown menu option to use ASCII format and it finally worked and perfectly.

Other Thoughts: Basically the device and it's supplied, as well as updated, software work properly. Supplied software looks like it would challenge a system tech trying to figure out but the updated software looks smoother. Neither windows help and support nor the product manual detailed the entry process for the most critical information which is the only reason for the missing egg. If you plan on getting this item then I suggest you be prepared to "figure it out on your own" as the manual says almost nothing.
