Pros: I have used Netopia routers for almost 20 years. The command line interface if more for IT Professionals rather than the armature or home user. The interface takes a bit of getting used to, but it also is less likely to be breeched. VPN connection between routers is solid making remote networks work, (Depending on line speed) like a lot more expensive routers. Port forwarding is a snap. My clients like the fact that I can set up a secure VPN to dial in and take control of onsite PCs without the monthly expense of subscription services. Using Netopia’s larger R910 router at a clients main office I once had 10 outlying offices (Using ther 3386N-ENT connect to his server through the 3386N-ENT for the use of one database and common documents. I have to on my office using static IP addresses. Unless requested I use the 3386N-ENT on all my clients. Rebooting the router is quick (Less then 30 Seconds) I highly recommend this router.
Cons: Although Telent is not as secure I have gotten around it by first opending a VPN to the network, Logging on and working the telnet from the inside.
Other Thoughts: The complaint about the command Line interface is bogus, shows lack of understanding of bacis IP, & DNS functions.

Very reliable & flexible
Pros: Seamlessly works with Windows VPN clients. Has many advanced features for configuring virtual LANs, routing, QoS, etc. -- I've yet to find something it *doesn't* do.
Cons: A bit on the spendy side.
Other Thoughts: This is a somewhat unique product in that it's priced higher than regular "consumer" grade routers but lower than "commercial" routers while still retaining most "commercial" features *and reliability.* I don't really "get" the other reviewer's complain that this users a text-based interface and not a web-based one: Yeah, they're different, but if anything the text-based interface is faster once you know your where around it than a "mouse-click"-based web interface. Both get the job done just fine.

Text based interface blows
Pros: Based on the limited information here, I thought it had everything I was looking for but...
Cons: Text based interface (NOT GUI) makes it very hard to setup. Also has a low cap on the upload speed not mentioned anywhere online. I RMA'd back to Newegg. Lost $ due to restock fee but I figured I wouldn't sell this to anyone for more so I bit the bullet and returned it.
Other Thoughts: First time I ever RMA'd anything to Newegg. They make the process very easy, so kudo's to them.
