Pros: Easy setup and administration. Great support and neat features I'll never use but get for included.

Other Thoughts: I've purchased, installed and maintained over a dozen of these appliances for various companies I've worked for and with. Great product, easy to use and understand very quickly. The support behind the product is top notch. At the end of the day its a Web Filter but the content controls are beyond easy to use and understand even if you've never worked with a product or appliance like this.

Other Thoughts: Just an FYI for Barracuda customers with a Web Filter...don't let the energize updates agreement lapse. What happened with me is that I replaced our 310 with a more comprehensive device from a competitor, but kept the 310 for possible future use. I mean why not? It was already paid for after all. Well, I got to the point that I found a use for it after a year and a half sitting on a shelf. I put it in place and decided to get back on energize updates, so I checked with my vendor who gave me a quote. The quote was not bad at all...until I found out they wanted to charge us for all of the time that lapsed while the device wasn't being used. They wouldn't just charge me the per year price, they required a 3 year lump sum payment which only covers through 2014! Nice way to lose a customer in my opinion. I will continue to use the device, but without any updates. I will also relay this information to every source that I can to help other potential customers find other options.
