Cons: Comes with no power supply. IT expects you to have PoE, which we do not. No mention of that anywhere in the details. In fact it mentions that it has it takes a 5 v dc many times but does not say it's not included. I'm disappointed in newegg and will never buy scom again. It's a shame because I was looking forward to the openVPN software. Phone looks cheap and anyone who would sell you an electronic device that has no power supply is obviously cutting corners too much.

Rating: 5/5Love the OpenVPN feature
Pros: Most important the OpenVPN client Sound is good and phone feels solid (not cheap) Convenient keys and just about everything is programmable Works great with other Snom phones and Asterisk PBX Snom forum with good support Nice headsets
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Does not come with the power supply. I had to order this seperate.
We use ip phones out of the office and the OpenVPN client option is why we decided to get Snom phones.

Rating: 4/5Solid phone
Pros: - Solid feeling and appearance. Looks good on desk. - Good audio once gain is correct, both with handset and speakerphone, though that other P brand is still slightly better. - Nice display, though for late 2010 it seems strange to call basic grayscale "nice". - Built-in VPN support rocks for remote workers! (OpenVPN) It's still 1.x, but works with 2. - SIP oddities seem to have been worked out pretty well. Dare I call it "mature"? - Snom support pretty good via their online forums.
Cons: - Firmware updates are available, though the pace of updates and attention to feature requests seems to have slowed. - DND indicator maddeningly small. Users often activate it without realizing and report they "can't be reached". - Other side of Pro coin: It took awhile for some features to mature and become predictable. Don't know what this means about Snom vs. VoIP overall. - Oh, for those who need one the expansion sidecar still acts weird. - Enet ports still 100Mb so the downlink "PC" port is minimally useful.
Other Thoughts: Not sure how android tech is displacing development effort at VoIP vendors. That'll be nice once we see new products but for now the whole endpoint game seems slow.
For now, this is a solid and attractive phone for office workers, with good features for the money. Crazy-complex CRM integration efforts would probably see me using newer Aastra models, if only for the active community support.
