Allied Telesis AT-FS708-10 Unmanaged 10/100Mbps Switch

Pros: Comes with racking brackets, rack screws, rubber feet, and drywall screws/anchors.

These are incredibly sturdy and durable switches that will last forever, even in terrible environments. I have left these running in sheds for years through many New England summers and winters.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is the smallest Allied Telesis unmanaged switch that is rackable.

Pros: No wall wart, just a plain power cord. Very stable & cool operation. Heavy enough that ethernet cables don't pull it around.

Cons: Large & heavy. Front side ethernet ports might not work well in some installations.

Other Thoughts: This is really a rack mount switch which can also be used on the desktop. As such it has an internal power supply and it is big, heavy, & all steel. Ethernet cables don't scoot this sucker around on the desk! Operation is rock solid & it runs remarkably cool. No wall wart (!) means you can plug it in anywhere without a fuss. An excellent switch if you don't mind the large size.
