The netis PE6108 Fast Ethernet PoE Switch provides a great selection for expanding your home or office network. All the 8 10/100Mbps RJ45 ports support Power over Ethernet(PoE) function. It can automatically detect and supply power with the IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs), like PoE APs, IP Phones,IP cameras, etc.In this case, the electrical power is transmitted along with data in one single cable allowing you to expand your network to where there are no power lines or outlets.

Worked flawlessly from the start. Cons: Noisy fan. I installed this in a closet mounted on a wall, near some bedrooms.I was concerned it might be a little too loud but when I shut the closet door it was just barely noticeable. Other Thoughts: Lowest price I could find on the web for an 8 port PoE switch. Would be nice if it had a sperate non PoE uplink port so I could make use of all 8 PoE ports. Cons: Noisy fan. I installed this in a closet mounted on a wall, near some bedrooms.I was concerned it might be a little too loud but when I shut the closet door it was just barely noticeable.
