3 out of 5 eggsIt's a good router.

Pros: It's the size of a small book and it stands vertical.

Cons: It feels sort of hollow but that means it is light in weight.

Other Thoughts: I bought this router at an electronics store for $15 dollars. It comes with a cd that you use for setting up your router.

5 out of 5 eggsStill great after 6 months

Pros: Decent support and recent firmware updates from On Networks. Firmware control functions reasonable for this price range. Reliable if used with an understanding of the medium and network technologies used.

Cons: Not dual band. I knew that at purchase.

Other Thoughts: If you have a smart phone, particularly and Android phone, look into one of the many wifi analysis tools such as WiFi Analyzer. This device is not like other networks like Ethernet. WiFi uses radio and thus is subject to interference. I use the tool to figure where my neighbors routers are tuned to and change the router channel accordingly. I probably end up changing channels every couple of months as all af my neighbors use WiFi with FIOS from Verizon. Expect the lower channels to be busy. I end up on channels 4 and 5 most of the time as the higher channels appear to be side-bands and don't have the wall penetrating ability of channels 1 - 6.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth spending money on

Pros: It was free, and worked as a temporary modem, or could work as a switch or something.

Cons: Wireless reliability is horrid, and constantly drops connection. Not acceptable.

5 out of 5 eggsN300R-199NAS wireless router

Pros: I have had this router for 2 weeks and I set it up right after I got it and it works fine. Easier to setup then my Linksys routers and has a little better range than my Linksys router. It came free with my broadband modem so no complaints there. Its not the fastest in the world only 2.4 ghz but no complaint it was free.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsIt was free.

Pros: Wireless N. Decent backend. Not too terribly confusing, but certainly couldn't be mistaken for a "fully featured" device.

Cons: 100-base wired. Are you serious? We live in the 21st century. I don't care if it was free with the purchase of something else, I don't understand how you can pawn off old, lame technology on your consumers, assuming they won't bother with the wired-part of their device.

Other Thoughts: I really only use this as an access point behind my pfSense box, so I've whitelisted a macbook and an android device - the security is fine, the updates are fairly regular. All in all, decent. Not great. Decent.

5 out of 5 eggsBasic and pretty good for free...

Pros: - Easy setup. Plug n Play.
- Simple management interface.
- Has operated solidly/reliably so far.
- Was free/inexpensive as a combo deal with the Motorola 6141 modem.

Cons: - Wifi range is definitely not as strong as other routers I've had with an external antenna.
- As others have said, this is not DD-WRT compatible.

Other Thoughts: - Plastic casing on this router feels a little flimsy, but not an issue since it sits stationary all of the time.
- Not too sure about the support, if any, for this product. There is no email or phone number listed for contacting them on their website.
- Since this is a secondary brand for Netgear, we'll see how well it holds up. Previous Netgear router I had was horrible with Wifi.
- Just upgraded the firmware to 1.0.0.5, which wasn't listed on their website. But was accessible via the router's management page. Hopefully I didn't jump the gun on this update.
