2 out of 5 eggsTech support out to lunch...permanently?

Pros: Small, inexpensive after rebate. Seemed to work fine until it failed

Cons: Tech support is non-responsive at best and non-existent at worse. Why would they proclaim to have a tech support department if they can't respond to RMA requests that are near a month old?

Other Thoughts: I had to enter the security pass phrase every time I rebooted the computer. This is most likely my last On Networks purchase

5 out of 5 eggsA pleasant surprise

Pros: Small form factor, good performance, plug 'n play support through Windows 8. Zero issues thus far. Using this instead of an under-performing onboard wifi card in a Lenovo U310.

Cons: Blue LED lights up the entire white plastic end of the adapter and makes it look kinda cheap.

Other Thoughts: Free after MIR? Yes, please.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth a penny

Pros: It's small and was free after rebate.

Cons: Adapter only does 3.30 mbps compared to 13.03 mbps with my on board card.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Connects without issue. I used this on a Win7 laptop. Disabled the onboard G card and installed this adapter. Initially had some issues so I set the router to N speeds only and all my problems went away.

Cons: This adapter had some issues in a mixed G N environment.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect little adapter.

Pros: There isn't much to say about this little adapter besides that it works flawlessly.

- Super easy install with included driver on CD.
- I haven't had a single connectivity issue. (All four adapters are within 20ft of router).

Cons: Not the fastest connection speeds. I use it in an office environment only moving small amounts of data. Works great for my needs.

Other Thoughts: Does the job I need it to in a standard office space.

4 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: Small! Easy to set up.

Cons: Had some trouble staying connected on a public network.

Other Thoughts: My laptop has an Atheros wireless card, and it will not stay connected to my home network for anything. It's an HP SleekBook and taking it apart to replace the wireless card is more than I want to tackle right now. Card's under the keyboard. From the top.

I settled on this adapter after reading reviews, and it fit my price range. Several reviews mentioned trouble getting Windows 8 to recognize it. I had no such issues. Downloaded the drivers from the On Networks website and was online five minutes later.

I've been using it for a week now with excellent results. I lost connection twice on the first day. Once with a bad on both ends Skype connection and once with an IP conflict. Since then, with over 20 hours of streaming Pandora and multiple downloads, I haven't lost connection even once.

On a public network at the library it was having major issues staying on. But I use a public network like that two or three times a month so it's not a big deal for me.

It is small, but I never take it out so I'm not worried about losing it. It does glow blue when it's connected, which I like. Speed is comparable to what I was getting with my built-in card. Eventually I will upgrade my internal card, but this is a good solution until I get to the point I'm ready to take my laptop completely apart.

4 out of 5 eggsWindows Yes, Linux No

Pros: Works well with Windows. Very Small, not as likely to damage the USB port on a laptop as with a larger adapter.

Cons: Does not seem to work with Ubuntu Linux. I have several machines running Ubuntu, and it will not find drivers for Linux.

Other Thoughts: If you use only Windows, these should work well. Signal strength was almost as strong as with a much larger adapter.

2 out of 5 eggsNo cigar for Linux

Pros: Cheap. Nice box. Small.

Cons: Does not work. Tried Ubuntu and Mint 16.

Other Thoughts: This is a very biased review. If it does not work with Linux, I have no use for it. Will give it 2 eggs because I presume it works with the platforms specified. Find it soon at local Salvation Army Family store.

1 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: It is small.
Installed without a problem

Cons: SLOW.
Advertised for speeds up to 150mbs, it connected at 48Mbs to access point. On FIOS, using speedtest it was downloading at 3Mbps. Used another wiress card (not microusb) - got 7X faster at 22Mbs.

Other Thoughts: Shellshocker at $10 thought it was good deal. But I would advise spending more for something faster
