The Cisco Model DPC3825 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Residential Gateway (DPC3825) is a high-performance home gateway that combines a cable modem, router, and wireless access point in a single device providing a cost-effective voice and networking solution for both the home and small office. The DPC3825 provides a faster connection to the Internet by incorporating eight bonded downstream channels along with four bonded upstream channels. These bonded channels can deliver downstream data rates in excess of 340 Mbps and upstream data rates in excess of 120 Mbps. That's up to eight times faster downloads than conventional single-channel DOCSIS 2.0 cable modems.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of garbage.

Pros: When it works, it works ok.

Cons: Well first off it resets like 12 a week. And when to much stress gets put on it, it crashes. It gets extremely hot. Wifi barely works. It works better smashed against a wall.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this

Pros: It is a decent router and got the job done (For the first month or so)

Cons: After a month of using it it rebooted all the time, became slow and it was un usable for gaming and trying to do video chats... No abuse on it or overloading it with user or information. It's just a bad router

Other Thoughts: Do not buy it... Buy something else for sure!

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this modem!

Pros: When purchased, worked fine with no difficulties or issues. Decent user interface with plenty of options and controllability

Cons: After four months, it just shut off. No abuse, no bizarre operating environment, no wacky firmware. Was listening to Pandora and suddenly had no internet. This is outside Cisco's 90 day warranty, so now I'm out a new modem. Won't be buying from Cisco.

Other Thoughts: Impressive interface and decent performance but mediocre wireless range and really cheap construction; generally not impressed.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Compatible with Comcast DOCSYS 3.0

Pros: Can't list any as it didn't work.

Cons: Do not purchase if you are buying for a Comcast cable modem replacement. This modem will not work, which leads me to believe it is not really DOCSYS 3.0 compliant.

Other Thoughts: Should have known better than trying to buy a modem/router combo. Never a good idea imo.

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy this junk

Pros: When it works it works great.

Cons: Just like everyone said it reboots ALL THE TIME. Some times it would go a day with out doing it or a week. Other times it would do it 12 times in a day. Also some times it would take forever to re acquire signal. DO NOT BUY!!!!
