1 out of 5 eggsdoesnt work

Pros: none

Cons: Doesn't work as a wireless client to 802.1x using PEAP authentication even though it claims to work in this mode as an access point.

The web interface menus as well as manual are horribly written.

The manual does not match the product. Page 52 (the capability i want) was not an option through the web interface. I tried rolling back to each old firmware on the site, each failed.

First and last Intellinet device for me!

1 out of 5 eggsdidnt work

Pros: it arrived fast. looks like some serious antennas

Cons: product has the most up to date firmware but did not work as a wireless client to an 802.1x network using PEAP for authentication, even though it claims to provide this as a wireless access point.

the on device webpage menus as well as PDF manual are very poorly worded. it takes the skills of an anthropologist to decipher the author's meaning

1 out of 5 eggsRange is horrible

Pros: Cheap, easy to set up.

Cons: This unit has the worst range I've ever had in an access point. Stay away!

Other Thoughts: Spend the money for a better unit, you won't regret passing this one up.

4 out of 5 eggsAccess Point

Pros: Works well as an access point.

Seems to have good bandwidth.

Works well with my Nexus 7. This replaces the Access Point feature of my P8Z77-I Deluxe, which would not work reliably with my Nexus 7, even though they are both made by ASUS.

I was able to set it up.

Cons: Instruction for getting to the setup screen were easy to follow.

Setup UI had some quirks that made me have to go to the documentation to figure out what I needed to do to get to the option I wanted. There is room for some one sentence hints and descriptions on the Setup UI that would have been very helpful.

Setup is OK but it could be even easier and more intuitive. I could easily list a few simple things that would have improved my experience.

Going through four walls makes the signal marginal.

The image of the device was gray, but the unit I got was white.

Other Thoughts: I only tried the Access Point features.

I would get this device again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!

Pros: Looks nice. Works flawlessly. Simple AP.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Going on a year with two of these on our work network as AP's. No problems. They never have locked up or needed rebooting. Very happy with these!

2 out of 5 eggsnot all features work properly

Pros: Works well as a repeater

Cons: bridge never worked

Other Thoughts: It works well as a repeater and you can plug into the Ethernet port so it becomes a bridge also. I never could get point-to-point or point-to-multipoint to work properly. I didn't try access point so I can't comment on that. So if you want a bridge without repeating the wireless signal this unit will not work for you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little wireless access point

Pros: Small
Easy setup
Performs well

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My old Linksys AP has seen better days and didn't support 802-11N so it was limited to 54Mbps (G) connection speeds.

I plugged in this router, it defaults to 192.168.2.1 subnet address so I changed one of my virtual machines to this subnet and connected. I changed the address on the AP to a unused static address on the 192.168.1.x subnet, saved changes and let the AP reboot. No problem.

I then configured the broadcast name and the encryption method. Unfortunately it was only connecting at the 54Mbps speed.

This turned out to be my mistake. After a little bit of digging around I found that the 802.11N standard says that the 300mbps speed is only supported for AES encryption or no encryption. So I set the encryption for AES, my laptop then connected at 300Mbps and everything works great.

Highly recommended. Also - Thanks NewEgg. I'm constantly impressed with how fast these get delivered to my house.

3 out of 5 eggsBig or well Little pain

Pros: It's size and the range was great (once it was my laptop's turn to use the internet). Also this one did not have a annoying blue flashing light on the top like my old one did

Cons: Well, for one only one thing can be connected at one time, two getting to the ip site was a big pain which i succeed only once but when putting in information about security it went crazy and booted me back out....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bridge!

Pros: Bought this for a wireless connection and power project. The bridge works as expected, but I took it an extra step and I am currently operating it with a Cordless battery pack, the BX550 made by BixPower. This allows for my entire project to be completely wireless (no data or power cables needed).

Getting good transfer speeds to the main network. I am using the device to connect an X-Ray machine with no wireless, to the main Wireless network.

Cons: None.
