Open it. Plug it in. Print.

xPrintServer fills the gap between the productivity of iPads and iPhones and the inability to print from those devices to office networked printers.

As small as any iPhone, xPrintServer leverages Lantronix' patented technologies, along with open industry standards to enable wireless printing to nearly any printer attached to a network. No software. No apps to buy. No configuration necessary.

  • Print directly from your iPad or iPhone to any printer - Within seconds of connecting to your network (via a simple Ethernet cable), the xPrintServer will "see" your network printers (auto-discover and auto-provision), which in turn enables your iOS device to print directly to them.
  • Save time - Documents no longer need to be synced back to a PC or Mac in order to print to your legacy printer. Nor does IT need to download, purchase, deploy or manage a variety of apps and software applications.
  • Save money - Say goodbye to investing in a brand new printer or buying cumbersome apps. xPrintServer is designed specifically with legacy printers in mind.

Yes it really works.

xPrintServer has undergone rigorous trials and testing by QualityLogic, a provider of testing tools and services that has more than 20 years' experience.

"Lantronix's xPrintServer overcomes Apple's printer gap, with amazing simplicity"
- InfoWorld

Print Directly from Your iPad's Print Menu.

Designed to help business and consumer users of Apple iOS products print directly from their device to a networked printer, xPrintServer closes the loop on what's missing for iPad and iPhone users in office settings.

xPrintServer provides wireless printing capabilities for iOS devices such as the iPads and iPhones using their native print menus. It eliminates the need to print through apps, install software, or email yourself documents for printing.

Plug & Print.

Plug in xPrintServer anywhere on your printer network - and within seconds, the xPrintServer will auto-discover and provision your networked-printers. Users can then access the printers via your corporate WiFi network, as their iOS device will "see" the network and be able to print directly. And not only can you plug it in anywhere, but xPrintServer works with virtually any printer, on any network.

Improve Workflow, Improve Productivity

Any business with employees who use iPads and iPhones during the workday will benefit from xPrintServer. No longer do employees need to email themselves documents to print, or download and print through apps.

iPads and iPhones automatically discover network printers once xPrintServer is plugged in - so there's no software to cascade or training to conduct.

Save IT Department Headaches

Without a doubt, almost every IT department fields regular calls about making it possible to print from iOS devices. With xPrintServer, the solution is cost effective, easy to implement and support, and eliminates the "Why can't I print?" question entirely.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far - So Great!!!

Pros: It works! Printer discovery in subnet works. Move to wireless subnet works. Details below.

Cons: None?

Other Thoughts: I have a slightly secure setup: Internet -- DMZ/Wireless -- Inner network. My printers are in the inner subnet. My wife and son use iPads etc. in DMZ/Wireless. I put the xPrintServer in the Inner: it recognized my printers and I set a good password (also time and firmware). Prep'd my firewall and moved the xPrintServer to the DMZ/Wireless. My son started QuickOffice on his iPad, loaded a doc., hit the print button, it asked to confirm the printer selection, he OK'd, and the doc was being printed on my printer. IT JUST WORKS. BTW, it seems that the serial number is the MAC address -- My DHCP reservation worked.

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work with my Samsung Printer

Pros: Prints very slowly. Takes about 5 minutes per page on a very fast networked Laser Printer

Cons: Constantly gives an error telling you that there is a nonexistent paper jam. Very slow printing. No printer control options.

4 out of 5 eggsApple and PC = Don't Play well

Pros: VERY Simple setup and operation. I plugged it in 6 months ago and my boy never complains about printing. It works well with my HP LJ 4100 dtm and HP LJ Color 4600 dn.

Cons: There is some sort of documented problem about connecting through specific wireless routers, but since I have several I did not investigate it well.

Other Thoughts: -1 egg for the value (all print servers are expensive, but I had to get this because my boy wanted an iPad). Suffice it to say I was unhappy to buy yet another print server when I already have integrated print servers in each printer. So maybe my -1 egg is more a dig at Apple than it is at this product ... which works well and no worries so far.

1 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Officejet G85

Pros: Good support staff

Cons: Advertised compatible w Officejet G85 but neither would recognize or load drivers and print. Nice idea for device but neither the network or home edition worked. Lost money on both. Over $50 lesson. Tried support staff, but didn't work out. Easier solutions such as old xp computer with fingerprint print server program.

Other Thoughts: Over advertised in compatibility.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Super easy, comes with cable, works right out of the box.

Cons: Led light are always on. Wish there was a"green" switch to turn off LEDs off.

Other Thoughts: The guy was right, it takes longer to unpack than it does to make it work. I can now print to either one of our networked printers from our iPhones or iPads.

Amazing product.

5 out of 5 eggsBrain Dead Simple

Pros: Unpack it - Plug it in - Print - Total elapsed time 3 minutes.

Works like a charm with a Brother HL-2170W.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: One of the few products that really is as simple to use as advertised.

5 out of 5 eggsIPod printing for the rest of us!

Pros: This was truly plug and play - I plugged it into the network, walked over to my iPad, opened a document and printed it! Finally, something which works right out the box with no futzing to get it to work. It can go anywhere on the network. I just set it in the equipment cabinet, ran a patch cable directly to the switch, plugged it into AC and it was ready to use!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsYes, it really is that easy

Pros: Simple, cheaper than many new AirPrint printers, works with *all* my networked printers, plug & play.

Cons: Could use some keyhole slots for mounting on the wall in my server closer.

Other Thoughts: Just get it. It works every bit as good as advertised.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT!!

Pros: Easy to setup; just plug it in and go

Cons: NONE; well maybe the cost

Other Thoughts: Perfect for laser printers at the house. If you move it to multiple locations with identical printers like me it's helpful to login to the xprint and name each one differently so they're easy to identify

5 out of 5 eggsup and running in a minute!

Pros: You literally plug it in and it works. There's no configuration needed. It detected my network printer automatically and my iOS devices were able to print to it right away. This is how technology should work!

Cons: It took longer to unwrap the package than to have it up and running.

A little pricey. Build quality was a bit lower that I would expect from a $149 product.
