5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Small
Quiet
Cool
Features
Price

Cons: Ugly interface ( HA! - does this REALLY matter? )
No user's manual ( may be a con for some )

Other Thoughts: I've had this for over a year now. I was looking for a way to integrate your typical cordless phones with an Internet telephony service provider to make a seamless switch from POTS line ( which was $$/MO! ) to SIP. This device allowed me to do just that.

My ITSP has instructions for this device to register it directly, but I run my own Asterisk system, and setting this device up as an additional extension was a breeze. Most of the plethora of settings can be ignored ( and are generally there for interoperability purposes ).

This device was significantly cheaper than other ATA devices from other companies, and I really only needed one FXS port. Great little device. Highly recommended.

2 out of 5 eggscustomer returned immediately

Pros: Small, inexpensive

Cons: Difficult, if not impossible, for a newbie to set up. Didn't come with instructions - user has to go online to get the documentation to set it up. Uses technical jargon I'm unfamiliar with.

Other Thoughts: Might be useful to someone who knows what they're doing. Sold it to a customer & they returned it because it didn't work out of the box. I'm not going to mess with it anymore. Be sure to have some technical VOIP experience before purchasing.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly great !

Pros: Small, Inexpensive, Works admirably well. I use this on an older Canon All-in-One MX860 Series for a send FAX line with Callcentric. Only use it to send, as Callcentric provides a FAX to PDF receive function. Used the recommended FAX settings from Grandstream and Callcentric *except* kept the echo cancellation on. If I turned it off, it would connect and then drop the fax call. Codec is "PCMU" (G711u)and "Jitter buffer length" is "fixed". Absolutely delighted given that Fax over IP is finicky to say the least. Great product - very consistent and hasn't failed a fax yet since I hit the correct settings.

Cons: None
