4 out of 5 eggsquirky software but works

Pros: This unit can convert 2 phone lines, and although I didn't need two, it was a welcome option in case of future upgrade, for example if the office gets a second fax machine.
Vonage Business managed to get this unit to work with their phone system and so far it has been running fine for about a month.
It has DHCP option so I didn't have to hardcode its IP which was another welcome plus.

Cons: This is probably one of the worst explained units I've ever had the displeasure of dealing. Luckily I managed to do most of the installation correctly and Vonage guided me the rest of the way.
It would be nice if Grandstream could get their tech support department to write up a few "How To" manuals on setting with different type of popular providers, in my case this was business installation and I think they can pick up quite a few sales if they could get their tech support and documentation right. Better user interface won't hurt either.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy buyer

Pros: Lets me place it behind my firewall on a separate network, as it's an ATA only - no NAT, routing or other network functionality. Call quality with VOIP.ms is great.

Cons: Would be nice if one of the FXS ports supported 2 lines, eliminating the need for a line-splitter to plug two lines into a wall jack.

Other Thoughts: I bought this a year and a half ago and I just put it into service as I dropped my VOIP provider and moved to VOIP.ms which supports BYOD and provides setup instructions for the HT702, so I'm treating this as a new purchase. Setup is not for the faint-hearted. There are a myriad of required settings, many of which will prevent the device from registering with the server. My appreciation to the folks at VOIP.ms who reviewed my settings and helped find my errors.

5 out of 5 eggs  easy setup

Pros: Very easy set up and works great. I was worried about voice quality but it sounds just like any analog phone. I'm using call centric and they have a web page that details the exact setup. Couldn't be easier. I'm only using one phone line so I can't comment on the dual line capability.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well, supports T38 FAX protocol, supports two lines when you have two VOIP supplier accounts

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a Linksys PAP2T interface. The PAP2T did not support T38 FAX protocol. Attempts to send FAX over voice protocols failed due to jittery packet-losing IP service provided by Comcast. T38 protocol worked fine in the lower-speed 9600-baud mode on my FAX machine. I have not tried the higher speed 14400 baud. It may work also; don't know.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Updated Firmware to 1.0.4.5 out of the box. Tested 2-way fax, wireless phone, CID without issue. Setup independent sip extensions\routes on each port for simultaneous testing of both functions - no problems so far - base sip setup, 5060, udp, modified rtp range

Cons: none at this time - even the base it comes with fits much better than most
