1 out of 5 eggsTenda failure

Pros: Cheap, easy set up

Cons: High failure rate: I've installed about 20 of these in the last year, but 4 have failed in the last 3 months. That's a 20% failure rate for me. The power supply failed on one & the other three would not connect to the Internet even though they would ping OK.

Other Thoughts: If you're setting up your own home network & you can afford to be off line if it fails, this is a cheap remedy. But I don't recommend using this for a business or if you are setting it up for someone else.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely terrible range & software

Pros: Good speed/price

Cons: The software that came with the router cut off the majority of it's own text including the buttons to actually start the process. When I finally manually configured it the signal was terrible. I tried multiple channels but the strength would fluctuate between 1-3 bars when trying to access it 15 feet away from cell phones or a tablet.

Other Thoughts: I guess it was cheap for a reason. I'll be returning it the day after it arrived.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Router for the Price

Pros: -Very affordable price, managed to get mine for about $20 at a local store.
- Full coverage in my apartment, manage to get signal outside my window 4 stories down.
-Doesn't take up too much space, fairly slim.
-Setup was very simple, but does offer an Advanced Settings section for those who want to tinker with the wireless settings, bandwith control, traffic monitoring, ect.
- Seems reliable, been using for more than two months now without turning it off barely and havn't run into any glitches.
- Doesn't run too hot.

Cons: - Questionable build quality, "feels" a bit cheap, but so was the price so.
- No USB port for hooking up printers or hard drives, but again for this price not expected.
- The product does somewhat scream "made in china", as the box contained some obvious grammer mistakes and so did the setup software, looked like they spit it through a translation program.

Other Thoughts: The company appears to be fairly new in the international market, they are obviously china based (address on box, .cn website, ect) but all their products are way cheaper than most the other brands and provide the same features on most models ive come across. They seem to be expanding their customer service initiative as I noticed they now have a .com website and an active US based tech support number.
