Pros: Out of box it worked very good, not great until firmware update. Wifi was fast, guest network fine on various devices (macbook, iPhone , dell and samsung windows laptops, kindle fire tv and tablet, wii game system and samsung tablet) Brother printer prints from all computers and all AirPrint devices. Range is good in 2 story house from one end to other and garage and outside deck. My router is in worst possible location at extreme far end of house behind computer monitor and surrounded by CFL lights.. It is on second floor. Have have 8 to 20 devices using wifi and leaving it with out of the box settings works excellent. No more fighting for bandwidth while hd streaming on 3 devices something i could not do with old router. I have 75Mbs cable speed. I get this or better unto 92Mbs on all my devices wired or wireless NOW AFTER FIRMWARE update.

Customer service was great make sure you have and call right number or web address. I have personally spoken with them. I called after hours and did not leave a message, but they called me back the next day to see if I needed any help. They must have caller ID.

Cons: Update Firmware. When I first set it up I thought it was fine. My son companied internet was slow on desktop. I thought he was crazy as all wifi devices were fine, Then when I checked it out, desktop was only speed testing between 4 and 12 Mbs. Went into router setup
thru windows internet explorer address "tendawifi.com" enter "admin' password and had it check for update on line. There was one so I did it the reset router to factory setting and setup router again like it was new. I used same wifi name and password so I would not have to set up wifi on all devices again.
Since Firmware update has been fine.

I got this on NeweggFlash for $54. For the money it is great, If it holds a stable connection and keeps working I would give it more eggs.
Even if it needed to be reset weekly I would still say its good, as you can set it to reboot nightly as well as many other features in firmware.

There's an Android app that works pretty well. It gives a good interface for managing the router, and it even shows you bandwidth usage in real time for each device on your network.
DLNA setup is also stupid easy from a usb external hard drive.
Upgrading to the latest firmware could be done through the web interface or the app very quickly with just a couple of clicks.
While it's not the fastest router, it's still considerably fast, and for the price it's a good deal.
Setting up a guest SSID from the web interface or from the app can be done in about 15 seconds.
Setting bandwidth constraints on network devices is extremely easy, but the most you can give a device when enabling bandwidth controls is 5Mbps.

Cons: The router doesn't let you specify external DNS settings. In the instructions for setup, it tells you to go to a domain of tendawifi.com which actually goes to your router's web interface. So the router is doing some sort of pseudo man-in-the-middle with your DNS. you can manually configure your network devices to use a different DNS server if you want. I found that odd and a security risk.
The device does "phone home" to a server cloud, but I haven't figured out what it's sending.
There's no way to send email notification with firewall logs or events (my old NetGear could).
The network jacks in the back were a little odd. If you have a boot on your network cable, you may need to trim it off to get it to click in fully.
The plastic on the network antennae easily becomes unhinged from the base. Be careful when adjusting them.
The paper instructions that come with the device are pretty lacking on information. There a few buttons on the router that the instructions don't really explain.

Other Thoughts: I would like more ability to control inner workings of the router than was is available in the web interface.

Pros: Speed and range are great and setup is easy.

Cons: Failed after 6 weeks and Tenda support site does not work. This means that, in effect, you have no warranty past the 30 day return period.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy products from Tenda just because they lack any real kind of support.

Pros: Connectivty and setup was a breeze and when its running it works great.

Cons: Broke after being on for a few days. The ethernet ports no longer functioned after just a few days.

Good range for the BG and N frequencies for the main user.

Cons: Nonexistent customer support. If you try to return this item, you have to go through Tenda for an RMA which can take 5 business days. As other reviewers have said, the guest network does NOT work despite the latest firmware update. My power supply died after 15 minutes of use. I had to end up using a spare 12V power supply. Folks, time is money. Just save yourself the time and headache and pay more for a working router with technical support.

Other Thoughts: Great signal on the router. Just realize you have zero customer support if you buy this router. I've tried to research a number to call, email, etc. but these guys simply don't have any kind of support. It is a great looking unit and has an impressive list of features but it isn't perfect. I set mine up as an AP with assigned ip address. A few issues with that setup: first, the guest network simply does not work. I'm on the updated firmware too. Second, if you turn off DHCP and assign an ip to the router you run the risk of not being able to access the unit again. I was only able to get back in via factory reset.
