Pros: It's a great idea, an online sales person to assist in tech knowledge in support of neweggs excellent prices, inventory, and delivery. It would make the whole circle insuring a perfect buying experience.

Cons: I was in the market to buy a new Smart TV and needed some help understanding exactly what I was reading about the Smart TV. I could never get a reply.

So I bought elsewhere where I could get some questions answered.

Other Thoughts: I paid 10.00 dollars and never recieved my product basically. Definately not a Newegg Product, it must a subcontractor because I have a long history of being impressed and satisified by Newegg.

This was a total bust.

Pros: Just a quick word of encouragement going out to Daniel after we talked and located a replacement MB for this older desktop.
I had talked, or attempted to talk to several other business's before hand and was getting nowhere about the options for repairing an existing computer.
He not only took the time to look up my specs but found an in-stock replacement/aftermarket board that saved the day. Very impressed Daniel!

After that he took the time to help update a wish list for a new custom build and the level of knowledge and expertise was notable. To anyone on staff who is listening, I think he deserves a raise!!!

Cons: None...

Other Thoughts: Have not actually received the replacement board at the time of this write up but hopes are high that we have a positive match,

5 out of 5 eggsTechnical Pre-Sales Support from Cobin B

Pros: When purchasing a system, I look for something that is close to bleeding edge and will last for a few years. That said, I need support from someone that deals with new technology on a daily basis. This has been the best $10 that I have spent in many moons. I consider it an investment in the $6,000 system that I am about to build.
Cobin was not only knowledgeable, but was willing to investigate options with me. Just the fact that he was willing to make a mistake and then plow through, raises my confidence level.
Not often that I get someone in ANY support arena that I make a note of how to get back to them because they were so helpful. In this instance, I was thoroughly impressed with Cobin and NewEgg.Com.

Cons: Bleeding edge never seems to evolve fast enough, but that isn't something to be solved by NewEgg. I really appreciate how quickly they are able to access and deliver new products.

Other Thoughts: It would probably be beneficial when performing support to have the ability to screen share from either end. I will say that being able to have a chat window open sharing links back and forth while at the same time talking by phone, made wonderful use of my time.
