5 out of 5 eggsGreat WIFI Adapter

Pros: This unit is fantastic. Setup took a few minutes. Installed the card then the software. Identified my network, entered security password and the connection was immediate. signal strength is excellent. I have a US Robotics router and there was no problem with the adapter connecting. Great Adapter at a Great price !

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Adapter

Pros: I got this to use with one of my desktops when I was away from the house for some training and it worked great, the location didn't have wireless but I was able to use this with my gateway (didn't use TP-link software) and I was able to share the wired connection with a few of my coworkers who were staying in neighboring rooms just fine.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I haven't been able to test this at 108mbps because the router was DOA, but at the price I got it at (free with router) it was a convienient addition to my computer.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's almost supernatural...

Pros: Once you find the right area of the house the card works like a charm. I hate to make it sound like its something to do with chance, but I've noticed that for some people it works and for others it just won't. It's kinda weird.

Cons: None really, although my roommate would argue differently.

Other Thoughts: I'm not crazy or anything of the sort, but I've noticed that when my roommate jumps on my computer the wireless dies. I have no idea why that is, but it makes me giggle like a madman with a spatula everytime. I've considered the possibility that she was somehow blocking the signal, but it may have something to do with positive thinking...cause she's so negative all the time.

And...angry...but usually only a week out of every month.
After that the card works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsworkd

Pros: TP-Link works when others of this price range did not. Has WPA2, secure, stong. Only use it to send the wireless signal to the computer in the back room (through several walls and a refrigerator). Made a free amplifier to convert the signal from omni directional to directional, and it works great

Cons: Have not been able to get 108mps transfer.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Legs!

Pros: It looks like a desk top adapter - that's about it.

Cons: From a proven location having good signal strength,
this unit cannot hold connection for more than a few minutes.
I don't have the patience for this pain in the seat. From a distance of 25 ft. from the router, this unit simply can't stay locked on. I have other TP Link products and they have all
given me good service.

Other Thoughts: T P Link products are good bargains overall. I have wireless router and cards for my lap tops made by T P and I couldn't be happier. This items the exception, most of their products
give good bang for the buck.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Paired w/TP-Link TLWR642G router. Used over 8 months. Never had a drop. Have no problem pulling high mbps on downloads on the PC w/adapter, another PC and 2 laptops pulling data simultaneously. Downloads almost as fast as wired connection even on the second floor of a good size house. Easy set up for a novice and secure.

Cons: None for me

Other Thoughts: It was my first wireless set up and wanted to go inexpensive to learn on. Maybe I got lucky or just don't know enough to be dissatisfied. But I turn it on, it works, it's fast and the range is true. I'm happy with the combo.

1 out of 5 eggsStill junk

Pros: no pros

Cons: all cons

Other Thoughts: Just like to add to my previous review that the router is now constantly dropping my connection even though I'm only chatting online. I'm definitely returning this junk.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk, stick with a mainstream brand

Pros: Cheap price. I got the TP-Link TL-WR642G wireless router bundle with this nic, so the nic was free really. Seems to work fine as long as you stick with 54mbps and absolutely no security. Also works fine as a wired only router. It even seems to be torrent friendly.

Cons: Cheap quality. Doesn't work at all at 108mbps, and at any speed, as soon as you set up any security, it either doesn't see the router, or it just can't connect to it when it does see it. Also, it seems to lag net surfing with both wired and wireless connections, which doesn't make sense, because torrents work fine on a wired connect. I didn't bother trying torrents with wireless. Also, because the nic and router won't stay connected with each other, the tray icon will drive you insane with the constant balloon popups and the lies it tells.

Other Thoughts: Though this is the first wireless hardware I've owned, I've worked with several wireless lans before and never had so much trouble. I've disabled wireless in the router and am currently using only the wired ports and it seems to work fine. Still don't know if I want to keep this bundle, even though the price is nice.
