5 out of 5 eggsGood protocol support

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG1024 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged 24-Port Gigabit rackmountable Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: Supports jumbo frames, port bonding, solid construction, good paint

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Using this switch between Freenas server, virtual machine server, and workstations. Can Confirm: supports linux port bonding, jumbo frames - getting well more than 1 Gbps out of my nas with multiple nics, round robin link aggregation. Will buy managed TP-Link switch in future.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems Decent

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG1024 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged 24-Port Gigabit rackmountable Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: Seems pretty good so fat, no fan... I wouldn't put anything on top of it. No issues so far.

Cons: No Fan - wasn't as pictured but not enough difference to matter.

Other Thoughts: Wish I knew I could have gotten a used managed dell switch off another site for a lot cheaper earlier. But decent switch.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little switch

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG1024 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged 24-Port Gigabit rackmountable Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: Excellent switch for the price. Bought first one a year ago to replace an HP 10/100 switch. Runs a pretty heavy load on a SQL database with no problems. I was a little concerned about quality for low price at first. Not now. Getting another one today.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG1024 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged 24-Port Gigabit rackmountable Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: - Solid build
- Fans are pretty quiet. If it's the only thing in the room, you can hear them, but not loud. (its a low whir, not the high pitched whin you usually hear on smaller fans). The A/C and computer drowns it out.
- The unit I received had the ports stacked together (whereas Newegg's picture shows them spread out in groups of 8.) I like and prefer the ports stacked together so for me this was a plus.
- Fast, network transfers are running tops
- TP-LINK quality, and great price!

Cons: - That I don't own more.

Other Thoughts: Even though I don't need them, this switch makes me feel like I should buy, oh I dunno, 7 more... you know... just because.... cause they are so awesome.. O.O

5 out of 5 eggsWorks As Advertised

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG1024 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged 24-Port Gigabit rackmountable Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: Replaced a Dell 24 port 10/100 switch with this one. The unit is solid in construction and has a good heavy feel to it. Plugged it in, worked perfectly. We have Cat6 cable throughout (not that you always need it) and all of the computers with gigabit ethernet cards got the full gigabit connection. Haven't had a single problem since install.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent switch for the price. TP-Link seems to be a great vendor.
