5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for plug-and-forget Linux use.

Pros: -Excellent Linux support
-Good signal strength for my needs
-Wireless N is plenty fast

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: -Wouldn't have minded 5Ghz support, but for the price I can't complain.
-I'd recommend this card to anyone looking for a solid Linux card that works without the need for proprietary drivers.

1 out of 5 eggsNot For Windows 10

Pros: Worked great with Windows 7.

Cons: Intermittently causes complete computer lockups in Windows 10 (and from some searching, Windows 8 as well). The only hint is a "PCI Express Root Port" warning in the Windows Event Log after you reboot. Very frustrating trying to figure that one out.

Other Thoughts: If you have an older system that needs a wireless card, this will be fine, but I can't recommend it anymore, since it seems to be completely unsupported going forward.

1 out of 5 eggsMalfunctioning

Pros: ...

Cons: Was malfunctioning on arrival.. after I inserted the adapter into the computer I built and put together it started making everything not run properly, causing conflict with the hardware and software.

Other Thoughts: I even had my parents technician take a look at it and help diagnose the issue. once we replaced the adapter for a different one, everything started running much more smoothly

4 out of 5 eggsGreat buy, decent life-span.

Pros: Easy install, popped right in, downloaded and installed quick. Almost no issues. Does what it pretty much says.
Great and had no problems with gaming, streaming, etc.

Cons: Connection would be dead dropped if so much as a small tap of anything came in contact with ether antennas.

Been using this for a bit under 6 months. Very disappointed that it just suddenly stop working. Can't hold a connection, connect, or even be read by my PC.

Other Thoughts: No matter how far or close I was to my router, I could never get past 3 (sometimes 4 bars) of strength.

2 out of 5 eggsLinux-friendly, but poor signal strength!

Pros: I purchased this card for use with a Debian 8 / Windows 8.1 Pro dual-boot on my new computer. Easy installation and for the first month or two, other than a few hiccups, it was blazing fast on both operating systems. My computer is a long ways from the router and the antennas were still able to grab a signal.

Cons: After a few short months this card refuses to work reliably in Windows 8.1 Pro. I have 30mbps down but this card is only able to get 1-3 bars, randomly disconnects, and cannot achieve speeds higher than 100kbps -- if that! Impossible to stream video, download small files, or even update software through APT in Linux.

At the same time it failed in Windows 8.1 Pro, it also failed in Debian and now is only functional approximately 10% of the time. I used a Belkin USB wireless adapter and now receive speeds of +/-10-25mbps compared to the TP link speeds of +/-100kbps. It took over a week of troubleshooting to be sure it was my TP-Link card causing the problem. Sadly unreliable card and it takes up the only PCI slot on my M5A99FX Pro motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I was really excited about this network card when I heard it would mesh well with my Linux installation, since it has somewhat limited hardware support. However, the TP-Link card turned out to be so unreliable that my Raspberry Pi can outperform it with a $10 USB adapter. Using the same Pi adapter in my PC increased my WiFi connectivity tenfold when compared to this PCI card. I have heard great things about TP-Link and I'll consider them in the future, but if I purchase from them again, I will make sure to get a much higher end card that supports Windows 8.1 Pro.

For now, I would recommend sticking to an inexpensive USB adapter or just using the much more reliable ethernet connection if you're on Linux. I have to give this card only 2 eggs because it's a hopeful product, but one that cannot deliver.

2 out of 5 eggsyou get exactly what you pay for

Pros: Extremely cheap.

Cons: upon receiving the package and everything seemed in order, the device plugged directly into my main floor without any issues and while Windows 7 attempted to install the device drivers I went ahead and installed the drivers from the CD. almost immediately I noticed there was a 76% signal rating from the utility. I checked another device with a USB dongle for a wireless adapter which receives higher signal quality between roughly 85 and 92%. well my network was seeing and I could connect to it the device had some issues transferring data from the wireless access point. After checking the firewall on the router I determined that the issue might be with the router itself. I swap in a wireless N router and tried to see what the signal boost would offer, however the signal still remained in the low 70's to mid 80s range of the device is less than 50 feet away from where I am. after a few hours the wireless adapter will drop the wireless signal completely and a vendor the device entirely useless and essentially coming down to what you pay for is what you get.

Other Thoughts: this wireless adapter works well however the price range of a fact that is dropped signal considerably and failed to communicate with two individual routers tells me that there is something faulty on this device. I would not recommend it based on the price alone, however I would recommend trying to find some more reliable hardware either a USB dongle over this particular unit or saving money and finding something a bit more expensive but more reliable.
