5 out of 5 eggsStill running great

Pros: Cheap, fast, quiet and GIG! I was a little reserved on grabbing this but glad I did. I was able to grab this for $26.99 and right now, Imaging and data transfers are much nicer than the 10/100 switch we were using

Cons: None. I would have purchased another one if I knew how well this one would work

5 out of 5 eggsGreat switch!

Pros: Excellent switch. Did a great job of automatically recognizing device speeds, and has sped up my home network substantially. Lightweight. Competitively priced too. Buying this one is a no-brainer! I've got 2 of them on my network right now.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: AC transformer supports 110 or 220V connections.

I used LAN Speed Test (totusoft.com) to test transfer speeds between devices on my network.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking

Pros: Currently working with all ports picking up the correct network connection and speed.

Cons: None at this time,

Other Thoughts: Purchased two and looking to get more since backup devices are nice to have when taking care of multi businesses.

5 out of 5 eggsSo good, I'm buying another one

Pros: Works well, reliable so far (on 24/7 for several months), inexpensive.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The first one I bought works so well that I'm buying another one for home. At $22 (discount at the end of 2/13), it's no brainer.

The only question I have is: if this switch is so good, why is it sold at half the list price? Is there something I should know?

5 out of 5 eggsWorks greak as a local switch

Pros: I have two, one for my media gear and one for my office.
Great speed I get full Gigabit speed (125 MB/s) while transfering large files between machines, It just works, and so far no downtime

Cons: A guess a metal housing would be nice, but for the sale price I paid, I'm not going to pick nits

2 out of 5 eggsMine is Cutting Out

Pros: Nice size

Cons: Not sure what is going on with this switch, I have had it for a couple of days with 3 computers plugged in, only one was ever running. Never got the chance to test with multiple computers on.

While working all day via CITRIX the switch just stopped working. Power light would be on but all connection link lights went out and connectivity was gone.

The network link is via another wireless switch, no one else was affected, just all connected to this switch.

Switch was warm to the touch, I'd unplug fiddled with it and all came back up. Switch was on my desk so there was plenty of air flow. Up time seems to be around 2 1/2 hours before going out.

I have another backup switch I have, 5 port, that I've put in and I'm fine.

Hate to give this a bad rating given all the good ones.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with this device. This particular issue is not a common one, and it is very hard to configure any settings to trouble-shoot, as this is an unmanaged switch. The best test setup would be to have one Computer and one Router plugging into the switch; this should help isolate the network connection to pinpoint the issue. This set up should theoretically be up 24/7 without crashing. This may also help determine if CITRIX is causing any sort of ip conflict that could be taking down the network. Most issues in an unmanaged switch are caused by poor connectivity – bad cables, ip collisions, redundant connections – or physical hardware issues in the switch itself. If you continue to have further issues with the device, then our RMA department will be happy to replace your switch under warranty.

We apologize for any inconvenience that his device may have caused you and hope you will continue to try out our latest products.

Best Regards!

5 out of 5 eggsGood switch

Pros: Cheap, good looking, does the job. This was a better upgrade for my internal network, boosted transfer speeds, multiple streaming at 1080p works flawlessly across all the hosts.

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: I have the 5-port seating in my home entertainment center, it fits perfectly and handles all the internal HTCPC stuff without the hitch. I'm considering to get the 16-port from TP-Link to consolidate other parts of the network.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: The switch works well. It's great to move huge files in my network so quickly. No issues so far. Plugged all my computers into it, then used one port to go back to my router.

Cons: none
