3 out of 5 eggsReally unstable

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: It works well when it actually does work (browsing internet purposes only). OK speed. Still works after 5 months of use.

Cons: Low speed, gets constantly disconnected when downloading something. I don't download a lot nor use at maximum speed that this adapter provides. Expected a bit more performance (and my expectations were pretty low). I used this for about five months. I can't really stand it anymore. Might just keep it as a back-up and buy something new soon.

Spend a bit more money and get a decent one instead of this adapter if you want stability and speed IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in win10

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Very nice ,i've used this to some minor gaming while traveling
only 10$ and it came with a cradle to support it
the cradle is durable and it hasn't fallen over yet

Cons: none actually

Other Thoughts: I didn't have a Disc reader so i had to download them off the website
not bad but took longer than i expected

5 out of 5 eggsTP Link wireless adapter

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Super competitive price. Antenna can tightened to a fixed position. Great signal reception, way better than my old computer's build in wifi adapter.

Cons: None at all or nothing I could think of.

Other Thoughts: When I first plugged the adapter into my computer, my computer didn't read the device due to the fact i didn't plug it into the motherboard USB slot rather than the case USB. The minute i did that, drivers installed and worked like a charm.

4 out of 5 eggsN-150

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: If you're a hardware snob, you may look askance at the TP-Link brand. This is my second USB WiFi appliance from them (both w/ external antennas) and I have been very satisfied.

As a base impression, this unit pulled several more APs from the neighborhood than my iPhone 4s did. I don't have a Fluke wireless analyzer to wave around, and it's not a terribly technical analysis, but you get the idea.

Installed in fossil XP machine, been working fine for 3 months. Drivers downloaded from mfr site ok, installed ok, really quite dull.

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: Got this with the combo cradle for cheap, it's kind of a nice cradle but wouldn't buy cradle separately. I'm cheap.

5 out of 5 eggs4+ years and still going strong

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Bought this with my initial PC build at least 4 years ago (as many as 6 years ago) and this cheap, little USB is still going strong after PC and ISP upgrades! Connected to USB port in back of tower, rarely have any issues with this great stick. Great speed (currently receiving my ethernet confirmed max from FiOS 75/75) and never dropped signal while connected.

Cons: Very occasionally (once/3 months maybe) it won't connect to the router after waking up from sleep mode. I've managed this very rare issue by keeping a copy of the driver on my desktop and a quick click to install and I'm back up an running in no more than 10-15 seconds. This is uncommon but does happen.

Other Thoughts: Highly impressed for still such great speeds for such a great price on a USB stick that's 4+ years old. Highly recommended. I keep the high-gain antenna attached at all times, FYI.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat deal!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: im an avid gamer and this cheap little buy works beautifully for gaming. I play CS GO and dota 2 so a fast stable connection is imperitive. My router needs restarting whenever I do have connection issues -- I get no problems from this lil guy! for 10$ on sale with a cradle, its a great addon to put wireless on my desktop! fyi I've had this for 1.5 months now.

Cons: my case is black so in a perfect world a black version would be best but meh. the blinking green activity light is also kinda bright and annoying but not worth an egg.

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsTL-WN722N

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Came with a free usb cradle.

Cons: Stopped working after less than two hours usage. This was not even continuous use.
Tried in Win10 - worked just OK. Ubuntu - has to play around with it to get any kind of signal.

Other Thoughts: Won't use TP-LINK again. Worse product I ever tried. Not even worth RMA. Cradle works - rest is into trash.
My Rosewill usb well outperformed this one in both Windows & Ubuntu.

Cons: Died in a week.

4 out of 5 eggsA good inexpensive adapter

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: I picked this device up when I was getting 2 bars on my laptop about 2 years ago.
I got an additional bar and much better reception.
About a year ago I put it on a newer laptop where the builtin adapter was doing very badly. Again, it came through like a champ.

Cons: You do need a place to plug this in where it is not in the way or subject to bumping.

Other Thoughts: If buying today, I would probably look for a faster device.
