5 out of 5 eggsPlug and play!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300 Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/ WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP / WPA / WPA2, Plug & Play in Windows 10 (32 bit & 64 bit)

Pros: Easy as plugging into USB and going on about your business.
-Worked from windows 8.1 install to windows 10 upgrade with no extra drivers

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I was afraid when I read reviews about many other wireless adapters and the issues the had. I was debating between PCI adapters and USB for a friends new build. Decided to go with this and was pleasantly surprised. Was able to grab connection from across the house easily and was able to perform at download and upload at speeds that he was paying for with his service provider. I will likely be buying one for myself just to have on hand. Seems very reliable thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsA real lifesaver

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300 Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/ WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP / WPA / WPA2, Plug & Play in Windows 10 (32 bit & 64 bit)

Pros: It was my immense misfortune to buy a motherboard with Wifi provided by Intel's Wireless AC7260 module, referred to hereafter as the devilspawn. It was constantly losing its Internet connection, despite all my Web-directed settings tweaking, turning off power management, etc. The devilspawn singlehandedly wiped out any goodwill from over 20 years of using Intel CPUs and inspired a hatred that burned with the heat of a thousand suns. It was enough to make me pray fervently for the everlasting misery of the Intel engineers who worked on the devilspawn and the demise of the company itself.

Finally, I ordered this USB adapter. I plugged it in, put in my network password, and I was set. It just worked, reliably. I didn't even have to install any drivers from disk; Windows 10 just set it up. I feel like my blood pressure has gone down since I got this. I still haven't forgiven Intel, though.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Absolutely recommended. Thank heaven for TP-Link.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy set up and works good so far.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300 Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/ WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP / WPA / WPA2, Plug & Play in Windows 10 (32 bit & 64 bit)

Pros: I like the long cord so I have the option of moving it around a bit to maximize signal reception. Pleasant appearance and seems sturdy enough. Boosted my 54mbps G laptop to 130mbps N.

Cons: Not quite the 300mbps advertised but I'll tweak it and see what I can do.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend to others.
I would purchase again.
Too early to tell if there is anything I would change about it.

5 out of 5 eggsworks good

Pros: I have had one of these for a long time and my girlfriend needed an adapter so I got another for her. Good speeds and range was way better than her built in laptop wireless adapter

Cons: i noticed on dead island it will disconnect when using USB wireless adapters. not necessarily unique to this product but itd be nice if this one did work. it was a long time ago, not sure if anything could have fixed it now but i wouldnt think anything changed
