DD-WRT and OpenWrt Barrier Breaker compatible. Detachable antenna. Cons: 100Mbit Ethernet ports. Weak transmitter power. Other Thoughts: This router is fine if you're on a budget and want something cheap to hack on with a third party firmware. I've been using OpenWrt Barrier Breaker nightlies on it for a year now. If you want range, though, you really need to add an external antenna or buy something else. With the built in antenna, it doesn't quite even go through two walls of my house reliably. Adding a 9dBi antenna, the whole house is covered and then some, even through the steel back door. With a 15dBi antenna I have been able to use it from over 100 meters away. Cons: If you are not on the same floor as the router there is not enough signal strength to connect, and if you are 40 feet away, even on the same level, connectivity signal is poor.
