5 out of 5 eggsBest for the price!

Pros: Work as it should. Plug and play. Good quality for the price.

THERE IS A LOW PROFILE ADAPTER IN THE BOX! Yeah, it is not written in the product description if I remember well. Very useful as I needed it!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use them to make 2 computer to communicate between as a restricted network and the board Lan card is for the internet. It work like a charm on Open Suze and Windows 7.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality drivers

Pros: Provides gigabit network connectivity

Cons: The driver has a severe resource and memory leak. After running with this card for a week, the Network Interface Store service was using 30,000 handles and using 1.8 GB of memory. As soon as I disabled the NIC, handles dropped to 460 and memory usage dropped to 99 MB. The other NIC on the motherboard was still enabled. The driver has not been updated for almost 3 years.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ethernet adapter

Pros: This is the second one that I have purchased, for another pc in my family. Works great. Love the fact that it came with a low profile bracket, though it was not mentioned in the specs.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: separate drivers on the little disk. This adapter will not function on a typical install of windows 7, without adding the drivers manually. Some things you just have to get over!!

5 out of 5 eggsTP-LINK TG-3468 Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45

Pros: Great price, simple install and good performance.

Cons: Win7 or 8.1couldn't locate any drivers. Installing from the software works fine but kind of a pain. Have two systems, one with Win 7 and Ubuntu Studio 14.04. The other with Win 8.1 and Ubuntu 15.04. Only the Windows needed the driver installed. Linux of course booted up, set em' up and worked. No eggs deducted.

5 out of 5 eggsTP-LINK TG-3468

Pros: I bought this to get my home media server running again after the onboard ethernet stopped working. The whole process was plug and play with Ubuntu 14.04 Server, the card has worked nonstop for the past few months with no problems.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: As always Newegg had the part to me in minimal time.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted a month

Pros: It was not expensive, I guess that is the saving grace. I think TP is a great name for the company, that's what type of product they make, but I wouldn't want to give toilet paper a bad name.

Cons: It lasted only a month. My router said that I was under a DOS attack, which I thought was weird. Luckily I still had on-board LAN. I disabled this junk and rebooted to enable on-board LAN. Everything worked correctly. I then rebooted and disabled the on-board and went back to the TP-Link and the problems arose again.

Other Thoughts: Don't cheap out. I also noticed that the item driver loads some other hidden software.

5 out of 5 eggsLow Profile Bracket included!!

Pros: Low profile bracket included! I purchased 4 of these as they are low cost, but the description and photo did not show a low profile bracket so I purchased two other Intel cards that did just in case I ever need a shorter card. Turns out these do include it now!

Cons: none so fare

Other Thoughts: NewEgg Please update the info on this product as the one you are shipping includes the low Profile Bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsNeeded for Dual NIC on a new system without PCI

Pros: Some systems I got recently needed a second NIC but most NICs I had available were the old style PCI connection. These did the job fine.

Cons: Really can't think of any
