4 out of 5 eggsdecent card bad drivers

Pros: Low price, Gigabit ethernet, PCI-express

Cons: Drivers from the TP-Link website are bad. I installed the card on Windows XP with the mfr-provided drivers, and large files would not transfer over the network. Any file over 50MB or so would just fail. Also the fail would result in network hang-up for 30 seconds approx.
Realtek drivers fixed that problem. See Other...

Other Thoughts: Get the drivers for this card from REALTEK not TP-Link.
use the googles or whatnot and get the RTL8168 driver from Realtek. My card was a TG-3468 v2 which has the RTL8168 chip. If you're not sure, get a magnifying glass and look at the small chip in the center of the board. Mine said RTL8168.
The Realtek drivers for Windows cured my large-file transfer problem. I was able to successfully transfer multi-gigabyte files, but with the TP-Link drivers I could not copy a 200MB file.

4 out of 5 eggsLasted while it did.......

Pros: Inexpensive, PCIE, Speed.

Cons: Stopped working after only a month.

Other Thoughts: Things happen. So, not really an issue for the price. I have numerous TPLINK products and they seem to work just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: plug and play
auto driver installation on windows 7
cheapish

Cons: none
could have been cheaper

Other Thoughts: great alternative for when your onboard ethernet fails or just plain doesnt work because the manufacturer didnt get it right the first time (as with my case)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: I have ordered 2 of these cards on Win7 and Vista
works great on both pc's
no issues - easy install and have seen improvements for consistent speeds over the default built in motherboard network card.

Newegg rocks for shipping

Cons: only issues is with Vista - had to work at getting the correct driver to install -- then again - it is a Vista pc

Other Thoughts: love it

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful NIC

Pros: Great little NIC(Network Interface Card) for my media server. Preforms great for my HD streaming/file sharing needs.

Easy install, no extra software needed.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: I seem to be buying more TP-LINK networking products in the past few years and been having great success with them!
