Pros: Works as advertised!

Pros: Fast, cheap, rackmount, metal construction (really feels quality), looks good in my rack.

Cons: red power light is a bit bright and occationally catches my eye; being red I think something is wrong and do a double take. Then I realize "its just the power indicator". nothing to write home about, its just a light. Ive been thinking about cracking it open and installing a blue LED instead.

Other Thoughts: purchased this for my home rack (on a budget, but wanted to jump into gigabit) with no prior experience with TP-LINK. I admit, I was worried at first, as I am the type that likes to stick to name brands. I sure am glad I gave them a chance, and honestly will consider TP_LINK a name brand for now on. The switch JUST WORKS. Never have had to cycle it, no matter what I throw at it. been going non-stop for 6 months at this point.

Other Thoughts: Trouble free switch, plug it and go. Full giggly-bit and jumbo frames work (haven't tried bigger than 9k). Can't ask for more at this price range.

Pros: Works great with all my devices.
Quick and easy to setup.
High quality construction and parts.
Comes with rack mount brackets.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a gigabit switch. TP-Link has proven to be a great quality product at an extremely reasonable price. Will definitely be purchasing many more from TP-Link!

Pros: Perfect for networking my home. 10/100/1000 speeds. Rackmountable and power-saving. Great product.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Pros: does connect at 100mb
rack mountable, and wall mountable

Cons: Fales to connect at 1gb, tried replacing cat5e with cat6.

Other Thoughts: I also notice it takes longer through this switch to gain an IP via the dhcp server in my linksys router as my old 100mb switch, gaining an ip would happen before my desktop would fully load. Very disappointed I understand you get what you pay for but this device should be considered flawed.

We're sorry to see that this device fails to connect at 1 GB. The Ethernet ports on the switch are Gigabit technology, and it's also important that the connecting device is Gigabit as well. You may find that a 10/100 Fast Ethernet device connecting to a switch will only produce a max connection of 10/100. There is no configuration in the switch as this is an unmanaged device, so trying physical things like testing the cables as you've done is a good idea. Pros: I haven't bench-marked the transfers speeds but large and multiple small file transfers between my computer and NAS have been quick. I've utilized every port with mixed-speed connections and have not had any issues. It has been sitting in my junction box upstairs since purchase and it's been a "set-it-and-forget-it" process. It's metal, fanless and fits in my junction box for my home network of computers and peripherals. I've had my doubts but this switch has performed like a champ. I like the fact that it has a metal casing rather than plastic being that it is a fanless design. If it's overheating in my junction box, I wouldn't know because my network has been running smoothly since installation.

Other Thoughts: I will update this review if problems creep up.

Pros: Cheap unit for adding additional network ports

Cons: Failed within 3 days requiring constant power cycling to restore functionality.

Pros: Quick to Ship, Quick to install, Quick speed. Replaced old switch and had it going with 10 connections in about 5 minutes.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Have had an overall good experience with TP-Link products.

Pros: The switch functions as it should. Data transfers over the network are roughly as fast as the mechanical hard drive can handle.

Have not had any network issues at all. Pings are fast.

Cons: Can't think of any at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I have the switch connected to a pfSense virtual firewall. Everything works well.
