2 out of 5 eggsJUNK!

Pros: It worked great for 5 months......

Cons: .....but then the signal would constantly drop out and adapter had to be constantly reset......at first I thought it was my router, but then found out it was this wireless adapter.....now it is completely dead.

Other Thoughts: Do any pci wireless adapters actually work reliably? The wifi on my $200 laptop I've had for 3 years works with no issues....wifi still works great,, and there is nothing great about that laptop either. Over the years I've used 3 pci wireless adapters and all have failed. I even tried a usb wifi adapter and the connection would go in & out on that too...i'm curious why wifi on desktop systems just stinks so bad?

3 out of 5 eggsWorks OK

Pros: Cost $14. Installed easy and it worked right away.

Cons: Signal drops a lot, cuts out. When it does it re-acquires it quickly.. I have three walls between my router and the desktop. I read that an external antenna may fix this.

Other Thoughts: I have a netgear 802n 300mbs router which blasts out a signal and this card just does not pick it up well. My Roku is in the same room and gets a strong signal.
One thing, use Windows wireless set up and not the TP link setup. When the signal drops off it won't start up again without typing in your code. Very annoying.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking for over a year now

Pros: Nice working wireless card and have yet to have any issues with the card; owning it for over a year now. Purchased 06/05/2013.

Cons: None. Works great so far.

Other Thoughts: Seemed to fit in the computer nicely, as do most expansion cards, however; I'm satisfied with the product.

3 out of 5 eggslasted 15 months

Pros: It's good when it's working

Cons: sometimes not stable and need to be reset to have it continue to work.
Now it just failed. A $15 card lasted for 15 months, not much to complain.

1 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with windows 8

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Incompatible with windows 8. Showing healthy in device manager, and 412.3 Gbps on network status, but can't connect to any network.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, when paired with TL-ANT2405C

Pros: First, never expect that a tiny antenna on the back of your PC will be sufficient; they never are. You must pair this device with TL-ANT2405C if you expect to get anything over 20 mbps (with this antenna, I have nearly 70 mbps [150 mbps stated]). At about $20 for the pair, the combination is pretty tough to beat.

Cons: None, assuming you don't expect the silly included antenna to do anything.

Other Thoughts: I originally went with the '300 mbps' model (with two antenna outputs); the two silly antennae on the back got me about 30 mbps. In order to have improved that situation, I would have to attach not one, but two large, cabled antennae, which would have looked plain ridiculous and added little value to that presented by this combo. The 150 mbps card with 5 dbi antenna is the pair to buy.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card for $$

Pros: came with low profile bracket . no issues with performance through 1 interior wall and 40ft (full bars) with a 54mbs router. good price

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: much better than my gigabyte card (2/5 bars) for same router.

5 out of 5 eggsIt still works

Pros: After a year or more it still works and has never seemed to be anything less than fully functional.

WPA2 etc.

Cons: It doesn't have any big capacitors, but apparently it doesn't need them either.

Other Thoughts: Wireless devices that work reliably for a long time are much better than those that do not, in my humble opinion.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works, but others are probably better

Pros: Easy installation, works.

Cons: No Windows 8 drivers. Had to go back and run the Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode for it to work.

Signal is kinda weak. I have my router in the same room and don't always get a full connection. I have a higher ping in online games than I would expect.

The antenna is really feeble. It can't hold itself up well and falls down unless held upright by something else.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Customer,

We appreciate your review and thank you for checking out our Adapter.

Unfortunately you are correct as this device isn't supported by Windows 8 at this time.

We do have antenna upgrade for this device as well to help improve the signal strength by increasing the gain.
