5 out of 5 eggsGOOD CARD

Pros: I have used several of these cards and am ordering more. These cards have worked on all my builds including Windows 10.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did the Windows 10 upgrade and have had 0 problems. If this card did not work I would not be posting this review.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Works

Pros: Excellent performance under Linux

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I was a bit wary after reading so many low reviews but they were for Windows so I pulled the trigger and picked up up anyway. The Linux distro I'm using is Manjaro and the card works without a hitch. I didn't even have to install any funky drivers. It has excellent speed and even though the PC is one floor away from the router, it consistently has full connection.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute garbage

Pros: None.

Cons: I actually wrote out a long review of the pros and cons of this adapter (Spoiler: not too many of the prior), but it dropped my connection while submitting the review.

Therefore, I'm downgrading my review to 1 star.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY

2 out of 5 eggsFrequent drops/connection issues on Linux

Pros: Low price, easy installation, drivers worked out of the box (ath9k)

Cons: Dismal connection quality.
Rooms where my phone and laptop get >90% signal quality get <65% with this adapter on my desktop.
Frequent connection drops and packet lossage, as well as extremely long pings.

Runs on well tested drivers, so these problems suggest that the adapter itself is low-quality.

Other Thoughts: Get a different adapter if you're on Linux.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Range

Pros: Cheap, easy to install

Cons: Horrible range. As well as extremely slow connections. I have 54Mbps internet and have been only getting 20-200Kbps with this card.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this product unless your PC is right next to your router, which in that case you should just go for a wired connection

1 out of 5 eggsTP Link 881nd

Pros: Price-size

Cons: Qualcom Atheros AR9287 card in disguise as other's have said. Works when it wants too.Windows Drivers or TP-Drivers does not matter.
The 24/7 Tech support is of no use.anyone with a bit of Tech knowledge knows to check drivers and make sure it is seated properly.

Other Thoughts: Will not buy from TP- Link again.

1 out of 5 eggsAtheros AR9287 in Disguise

Pros: It works from time to time.

Cons: This card is actually an Atheros AR9287 card in disguise, and unlike an Autobot it does not rollout on a consistent basis. Google Atheros AR9287 and you will find that the card has terrible driver support, stops working for some people, and for the rest of us, the card is choppy and inconsistent. I would return the card if I was within the return window.

Other Thoughts: It was only $19.99 but it should still work correctly.
