4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Save Except 1 Problem

Pros: This thing so far delivers every thing promised, I need to upgrade my wireless router to test out the 450 MBps claim, but on my current 150 MBps it has more than tripled my connection speeds switching from wireless g to n.

Cons: THE STUPID TP-LINK SOFTWARE!!! This product would have received 5 stars if it were not for the annoyingly faulty utility software. For some odd reason when the software is open it draws the mouse cursor to it. So when you are typing about every 30 secs whatever page you are on is deselected, the fix is simple just close the utility, but then you lose real time activity updates except from windows which isn't a big deal but still FIX YOUR SOFTWARE TP-LINK and I will give you 5 stars :)

Other Thoughts: All around Grade A buy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product thats a snap to use

Pros: Easy Install, Relatively Cheap, Just works. Its Plug and Play in Windows 8 with no driver!

Cons: Windows 8 Driver confusion, It just works Plug and Play instead of using a driver.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 2 when doing an install for various clients home machines. First machine was a new Windows 8 rig and after the very simple and small install there was an issue with the driver in windows, it caused issues. When I uninstalled the driver lo and behold windows reported a new wireless adapter and used it natively! This was quite a surprise to me! Client has had Zero issues with this configuration and its easily able to pick up a 5 bar signal at any point in her house.

Second client was running an older WinVista box and had an issue about a week in. For some reason the card lost connection capability to the router, it was most probably an issue from old Norton firewall software she had installed in my absence. After some back and forth and troubleshooting I was able to connect back to the router and she has had no functional issues since.

About the only issue that remain is driver related. It does not save Access point key information if you disconnect and try to manually reconnect. If you instead power cycle the system it will reconnect without having to enter the key.

5 out of 5 eggsGood inexpensive card

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install. Excellent Linux support.

Cons: Connection quality is good but not stellar. I'm not sure that this card would be my first choice for connections over long distances.

Other Thoughts: If you need an inexpensive high-speed wireless card for Linux this is a good choice.

1 out of 5 eggsFrequent Wireless Disconnects

Pros: Solid when it's connected.

Cons: Have been dealing with frequent and intermittent connection drops. Thought it was just me until I came back and read recent reviews. Have been dealing with TP-Link customer service for a while, and all they could give me were simple tests that any novice could have figured to try. Currently trying to get it RMA'd, but not sure that will do me any good. First time I've purchased TP-Link, and probably the last.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,
We apologize for the poor experience you had with our adapter.
To troubleshoot a wireless issue, we usually suggest the customer adjust the antenna angle, change to another channel and set the channel width to 20MHz.
We have many good reviews on this adapter and I'm sure it's a great adapter.
Since you've applied a RMA, I hope the new one give you solid and fast connection.

3 out of 5 eggsRandom disconnects

Pros: In use, 100 Mbps faster than previous Rosewill wireless

Cons: Antenna does not receive signal as well as previous Rosewill adapter. Unit randomly disconnects from router several times a day. Nothing else in my setup was changed.

Other Thoughts: When time allows, I plan to reinstall my $14. Rosewill adapter. It is slower, but more dependable.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear csutomer,
We are happy to hear the adapter is faster than the previous one and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Due to the position of the adapter, there may be obstacles between the router and the adapter.
May I suggest you adjust the antennas of the adapter?
Another troubleshooting procedure is to change the channel and channel width on your wireless router.
You may use a free software, inSSIDer, to detect the best channel in your environment.
The less interference, the better wireless connection.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems fine

Pros: Well, it connects to my TP-Link WD4300 router at 300Mbs or more. Installed easily under Win 7 and maintained my Homegroup and network printer, on which I enabled the wireless capability. Prints as quick as a wired setup. I'm using the 5GHz band and it works well for me.

Cons: Antennas are OK but seem somewhat loose and will fall down.

Other Thoughts: This is my first wireless outing so I don't really know if this is as good, worse or better than anything else, but I like how it works. I had been reluctant to switch from wired but my internet speed has not decreased like I thought it would. I get 25-27Mbs down and 4.8-5.2Mbs up.
