5 out of 5 eggsWorks flawlessly! Fast!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: True plug and play. It works in every room of my house. I have a newer house so this could help. I've tried in different rooms and difference devices. Even a stingy security system that I thought might cause issues was truly plug and play. Speeds are great. Claimed ISP speed 60mbps. My connection goes through a wireless router. Every room the speed test shows a constant 66mbps down. Upload is above 4mpbs. Claimed by ISP is 4.

Cons: None. I'm going to buy another to reduce load on wireless.

Other Thoughts: This is great. It's just like having the cable run but without the incredible amount of headache running cable through the house and attic can entail. Plus it's VERY cheap!

5 out of 5 eggsTiny workhorses

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Plug them in and you've got a network! No bulky contraptions hanging out of plugs - very compact and attractive. Very reliable.

Cons: 200 Mbps, but physical channel is unlikely to support much faster transmission than this anyway. Perfectly adequate for office work, home server management, etc.

Other Thoughts: Why don;t more people use power-line networking? Its so convenient and reliable.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks right out of the box

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Just plug it in, seems to be working fine. I did not bother to test or measure the "bandwidth", as I don't have demanding requirements, other than connectivity.

Cons: None, so far.

5 out of 5 eggsThese purr

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: These little things go great into the wall, and with a quick setup (just put them adjacent to one another and press the buttons) they really do work well together. I'm using these now for an attractive solution for moving my cable internet from my TV to my study, and these get equally as good of latency and speed as if I were plugged into the ethernet port on my Netgear router. Very impressed with these little things, and I've had absolutely no issues with their reliability or anything.

Cons: Only con I can think of is that they do take up a good deal of space on the outlet, limiting your options of things to pair with it.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug and Play

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Needed wired internet to a modem/router in another room. I literally plugged them in and that's it.

Cons: none for my purposes

Other Thoughts: 2 or more pairs will need more steps to sync them up. Otherwise, you don't need the cd it came with, or read the manual.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Bought this because the Brother MFC Laser I bought was only hard wired network and was using it way away from any wiring. Followed the instructions and had the printer on my network in 30 minutes.

Cons: A bit of a pain to find an actual outlet I didn't have anything plugged into to do the initial setup. Can't believe how many wires I have running in my house!!

Other Thoughts: Recommended

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Great device. Plug and play, had it up and running within 2 minutes. No drivers to install - Perfect for people who aren't tech savvy.

Cons: None so far. If you need to do a lot of video and large file sharing, you might need something with a bit more line speed, but for everyday internet use, this works great.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for someone with a malfunctioning wireless adapter who also had signal issues for several years. Plugged this in, no more problems. I can't speak to the thoroughput since I have no need to push this device to it's limits, but if you need to extend your signal somewhere in your house and wireless is an issue, this is all you need.

Of note: This will likely not work unless plugged directly into a wall socket. The documentation warns you of this. I tried it anyway just to check and got no power out of my surge protector. Keep that in mind if that's an issue for you.

4 out of 5 eggsLINK-TASTIK!!! on a Budjet!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-PA2010KIT AV 200Mbps Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit

Pros: Great answer to nasty, hard to wifi to areas. They are as simple to install as plug in on both ends press the buttons and your ONLINE! I own 2 pairs of these and love them. Now the speed is a tricky thing to diagnose. Know this, EVERY circumstance is different with this item being as its not the item itself that offers the exact speed, but rather the construction of your particular circumstance. I've installed these for many clients and have seen speeds very in every situation. all of which whir a gain over wifi. Shipping was fast right on time with predicted, With that being said you cant loose on the purchase- ENJOY

Cons: These are a great item, there are however a few things id like to see that would be better. The Ui software could be a little more straight forward with the security software. When you set the security software up there's a considerable drop in speed. I'd also like to see this item priced more in the area of 10-20 dollar neighborhood for whats being offered within this unit.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to see wifi built in on these lower end speed units made bridgeable for an added boost in throughput and possibly reducing the loose of speed when security is setup. Last idea would be to see these able to run through you phone lines as well as electric lines utilizing the constant electrical flow even in a outage. well theres some food for thought. Nice item!!
