Pros: Sounds like a good idea. Reality is not good.

Cons: Ooma tech staff does not know how to install on Apple/Mac platform.
There are undisclosed conflicts with your other wireless devices like your 2.4MHz cordless phones and your router.
Once attached via this device - you cannot use your phone pad to sign onto conference calls or operate a simple tel menu like Press 1 for Sales.

Other Thoughts: I bought the Ooma because I have poor cell reception at home - my neighbors don't like cell towers.

I wanted to be on tel hands free and cord free as I work on computer -- as I talk with co-workers about the work in progress -- or call vendors with menu driven phone systems... so I also bought this adapter.

I have 2 Apple computers. It took a week and half a dozen calls to support to get Ooma Bluetooth up and running including getting a new Ooma box sent to me because one rep thought my brand new Ooma had a bad home port.

Ooma box #1 is now working with my blue tooth.

Why did it take so long? Ooma does not know how to set up on Apple/Mac. Getting it set-up required changing browser to Safari AND changing Safari controls to act more like IE browser (my discovery not tech support).

How is the bluetooth headset reception? It is scratchy - static-y. I have 2 bluetooth headsets - similar reception on each. One is one week old... and other is older. Same result.

Could it be the Ooma box? I have 2nd - could have them re-authorize 2nd so I could check if it is the Ooma box that is causing the scratchy. I already have possibly 10 hours invested in trying to get this to work.

One more thing - to get the call connected to your headset, you have to dial *15 *16 *17 or *18 BEFORE you dial the number and once the call is in your headset, you cannot answer any menu prompts like Press 1 for Sales. You have to make call without the headset to get thru a menu and there is no way to reconnect the headset once you are thru the menu.

I could live with all the wasted time if the calls were clear in my ear. The same 2 headsets are not static-y when attached to my Android at home or when away. The Ooma reception is fine at home (fine not crystal clear) on the installed box.

So - I am debating returning the bluetooth adapter for 1) scratchy reception with bluetooth headsets 2) limited connectivity a) *15 before dialing as only way to initiate and b) no feature to make it thru a menu based tel system or conference call connection.
