The Zoom 5352 Cable Modem/Router with Wireless-N supports cable modem speeds up to 343Mbps. With its high speed and IPv4 and IPv6 networking support, this is a product designed and built for use today and for years to come. The embedded router with Wireless-N support continues the high performance with 300Mbps 2 X 2 MIMO for the range, wireless speeds, and networking support needed for multimedia, Internet video, and high-performance networking in a home or office.

DOCSIS 3.0 cable performance allows bonding of up to eight channels on downloads, and four channels on uploads, when used with the latest cable systems. DOCSIS 2.0 and 1.1 support provides compatibility with older cable systems.

Zoom cable modems are approved for your cable modem service. Zoom Models 5352, 5350, 5341J, 5341, and 5241 work with all cable modem services in the U.S. and most other countries that support North American DOCSIS. They have been certified by CableLabs, the cable service providers’ primary test lab. This is the only certification required by most U.S. cable services including Cablevision, and hundreds of others. Zoom cable modems have also been certified by Comcast, Cox, Time Warner Cable, and the small number of other service providers who require certification beyond CableLabs.

You will find the approved models on the official website of Comcast, Cox, Time Warner Cable, and Bright House.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product!

Pros: Replaces TWC rental after over one year, fast, reliable, always up, no more re authentication calls to TWC!!! Easy to manage thru GUI.

Cons: Nothing at all, just buy it!

Other Thoughts: I have four condos in South Padre Island, TX and previously rented my modem/router from TWC. TWC has too much downtime so I did some research and found this product to be worth of at least one try. After buying one and never having any problems I replaced all my sites with this. Do yourself a HUGE favor and just buy it. Well worth the money especially if you are in for the long haul on your property/home/apt/whatever!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Gateway Unit

Pros: Super easy to set up. Comes with a preprogramed user name and password printed on the bottom of label that you can change later at your convenience. Live in a large house and strong signal is all over the place. Replaced a Motorola 6580 that over-heated and burned itself out. Runs cool by comparison. Plenty of indicator lights to let you know what is pugged in and what is working. Less expensive than a Motorola.

Cons: A bit harder to reset password than needs be.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased with this Gateway modem. Not Taiwan or Chinese made, though not thrilled by being built in Tijuana but it is designed in Boston.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality

Pros: slightly better wifi then last router.(works at about 200ft away & 3-4 walls between signal strength of 2 bars celluar). not only was the installation a breeze the online configurations are very easy to read an figure out. between me an one other person hardline'd to the modem constant ping of 24 ms or less with zero lag with both computers running online games/downloading. overall this is a 5 egg product i would recommend to anyone looking to up their internet connections an wifi.

Cons: only down fall to this was no phone jack but found a
RJ-45 to RJ-11 connector via online for about $3.50.

1 out of 5 eggsZoom 5352 cable modem/router

Pros: Seemed like a good thing to have, what with the upgraded capabilities over my old unit.

Cons: Wireless worked with intermittent outages for almost 2 weeks then died completely. Thought it was the cable service till I put my old setup back in-----and not problems.

Other Thoughts: They may be good units and I just got one of the bad ones. Going to stick with my old setup, it's reliable.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Blazing fast and easy to set up. No stupid set up CD.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am always wary when buying 'combo' devices where it does two jobs in one, but this was 100% worth the risk. Amazing product

2 out of 5 eggsBug with no fix on the way

Pros: It has a number of advanced features that I haven't tested too extensively.

Cons: I recently purchased this modem/router. Looking through the reviews it looked like it it would meet my needs and it does have some advanced features.

What it cannot do however is have a password over 8 characters. As it turns out this is a bug on ALL Zoom routers.... This would have been nice to know before purchasing the router and there is no firmware update in the works to fix this issue.

Based on my conversations with tech support it also doesn't sound like there is a fix in the works any time soon...

I have also had some difficulties setting up dynamic DNS, though at this point it isn't my highest priority.

4 out of 5 eggsBlazing fast

Pros: Very fast speeds; fastest I've gotten with my provider.

Cons: Do *NOT* enable IP Flood detection, unless you want mysterious slowdowns and dropped connections. Also you are at the mercy of your cable provider for bios upgrades.

Other Thoughts: Note unlike some other reviewers, I do not use mine for wireless; I have a separate router for that. I mainly wanted this so I could have a modem/firewall at the front line, along with an additional router/firewall that my machines connect to.

4 out of 5 eggsFast, easy setup

Pros: Blazing fast modem; got faster speeds (particularly on upload) than either the Motorola Surfboard 6850 I had previously or the Arris CM820A my ISP provided me with.

Cons: Do *NOT* enable IP Flood Filtering in the firewall settings unless you want to see mysterious delays and random connection timeouts

2 out of 5 eggsWeak Wireless

Pros: This could be the best buy for your money if the wireless was stronger. Its featured packed. The quick set up is great for the novice or inexperienced user and yet the advance menus gives you full control for those of us that care about them.

Cons: Unless you're using this device in area's less that 500-600 square feet with no walls, the wireless is bad... scratch that... the wireless is horrible. Even when transmitting at 100% power, you loose about 2/3 to 3/4 of that signal in 50 feet, even with line of sight. If you adjust to clearer channels, maybe change from 20/40M transmission, you may be able to get a useable signal behind a wall but expect drop outs.

Other Thoughts: If you just want a all in one modem to with a few wired ports and a wireless router for a small area, this is a great device. But do not bother using this for anything else, its just not worth the aggravation.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my bad review

Pros: This is a update from the bad review I left here. This modem is fine with Comcast, go to the Zoom website and follow the directions under the known issues tab on the Zoom 5352 page. Comcast's lower level techs will be no help, request a second level tech if you talk to them. Very nice features...

Cons: Wish it was easier to setup with Comcast, but I guess the issue only exists in some areas
