5 out of 5 eggsIt works for me!

Pros: I picked up this antenna to replace the factory antenna on a D-Link DSL-2640B DSL modem/router for my parents. The wireless has always been problematic from their basement office, probably due to lots of copper pipes and false ceiling girders causing interference. Before this antenna, we could get wireless reception only about 1 room away from the router. After this antenna, we now have reception 2 rooms away from the router.

Cons: Well it is for wireless B/G 2.4 GHz. There are better multi-antenna setups for the wireless N users that may need to support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Other Thoughts: The D-Link DSL modem/router that we are using has many comments about it having a particularly weak wireless antenna. Most factory antennas are +2 dBi. This one is +5dBi and is convenient because it attaches directly to your WiFi router like a standard factory antenna (though it's larger). People that need even more range should probably consider a +7, +10 or +15 dBi antenna, though those models usually have their own base (and take up more desktop space). Of course the price goes up as you buy an antenna with more and more gain. So long as people are reasonable about what they expect from a +5 dBi antenna, this model seems to do it's job just fine.

2 out of 5 eggsNo noticable difference

Pros: Larger than standard antenna.

Cons: Didn't make any appreciable difference with my Asus Internet Radio

Other Thoughts: I will try it on my Cisco router and see if that makes any difference.
