Product Overview

The LevelOne POS-1002 PoE Splitter splits a networked PoE signal into a separate power and Fast Ethernet data sources. This device allows administrators to run Fast Ethernet speed PoE cables over long distances, and then split the PoE signal into a separate data and power sources in order to run non-PoE devices. This active PoE splitter is available in the following output voltages (5V, 9V or 12V).

Save installation and equipment cost when installing access points, IP cameras and other devices in remote locations, with no need to install network devices near a power outlet. This compact splitter safeguards valuable network equipment with short circuit protection and quickly creates an integrated PoE and non-PoE network at Fast Ethernet speeds.

Anonymous 2/23/2015 5:52:41 AM Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5Good for short distance This review is from: LevelOne POS-1002 PoE Splitter Pros: -Works with AXIS 214 PTZ IP camera which has 12V 22W rating. -Light - can leave on ceiling tile easily. -Inexpensive Cons: -Even though you use CAT6, it cannot draw enough power if you installed it far from power source. It seems like about 90 feet is maximum length for this to get enough power for our PTZ camera. -Somewhat cheaply feeling. Other Thoughts: Compare to AXIS High POE Splitter, this has 1/5 price. You can buy extra for emergency replacement in case of failure of device. If you plan to wire long way to use this, I do not recommend this. Did you find this review helpful? It does not include the POE injector, which is sold for yet another $25. The whole package is WAY over priced for a serious POKE in the eyes. Check the TP Link Kits for a much BETTER value. This item is on the endpoint for a wireless router and it is working like a champ. Cons: None Other Thoughts: It is a great fix for an area without an outlet, and a cheap way to get more bang for your buck out of an older switch. I have two of them and are doing great! Make sure you get the Injectors for the other end to combine the Ethernet and power for the line. Saved us a lot of money as opposed to having to drop and electrical outlet.
