5 out of 5 eggsworks well...

Pros: This antenna is moderately directional which will help boost your signal strength while not being quite as sensitive to how it is aimed compared to highly directional antennas. Its boosted my signal considerably... possibly as much as double. I'm using it inside an apartment building to boost my reception.
This was one of the few manufacturers that actually publishes polar plots of the antennas performance on their website data sheet. (I don't trust a manufacturer that omits this data)

Cons: You still need to buy a cable to run it to your PC. This is actually reasonable since the manufacturer has no idea how far you intend to cable it. Longer cables have the disadvantage of losses, so ideally you want just long enough and no longer. The manufacturers website sells cables for this antenna.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like Advertised

Pros: I have two of these pointing at each other about 300 ft apart. Signal strength is very good. They are both connected to iinksys wrt54gl routers running dd-wrt. Using the Hawking HACNT N-Plug to TNC Jumper Cable installation was flawless. I have one router configured as ap and the other in repeater bridge mode. This allows clients on the receiving end (repeater bridge) to connect wirelessly.

Cons: The mount is a little small.

Other Thoughts: The distance may actually be more than 300 ft as I cannot see the other building thru all the trees!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Wish I knew what the pro's were but it comes unusable out of the box.

Cons: You must buy a converter like this one to use this

I was pretty bummed when it came and I couldn't use it right out of the box. Went down to the local Radio Shack to see if I could pick up a converter and they do not carry it as it is a specialty item. I suggest making sure you have a cable converter before you purchase this.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: I am shooting a WiFi signal over 200 yards through trees- signal strength is 4 out of 5. I have it mounted outside with a 20ft cable running to my Rosewill RNX-G1 USB adapter, no problems so far.

Cons: Mount is flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to try this in conjunction with a tuned parabolic reflector. I know it's already directional but it can always be better!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Been using this about a year now between my shop and house, about 350 yards clear view. This antenna is installed outdoors and connected through a wall to a Linksys WRT54GL inside. The router is running DD-WRT. To connect this antenna to my router it required a jumper cable, I used the Hawking HACNT N-Plug to TNC Jumper Cable. The pigtail on the antenna is short, but the jumper cable gave me enough length to get to the other side of the wall.

The router at my house still has the factory antennas and is mounted inside the house near a window, also using the DD-WRT firmware.

It runs a solid connection all the time, it's around 30% signal strength but thats more than expected considering I haven't changed the antennas on the router at the house. I had planned on it but it works just fine as is.

Cons: The mount for the antenna is plastic so durability likely isn't great but as long as it's mounted in a spot that won't see any abuse it will hold up fine.
