4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price.

Pros: Using two of these, my signal quality jumped from the low 30s to high 40s. The signal boost was enough to take care of my performance problems.

Cons: The SMA jack is fairly thick and did not fit on the Buffalo WHR-G54S. I had to cut away some plastic on the router for it to work. I'm not sure if it's the antenna's fault for being too thick or what, but that's why I gave it 4 stars.

Other Thoughts: This is basically a regular antenna with a small removable mirror on one side. I have two Buffalo WHR-G54S routers with DD-WRT installed... one is the AP and one is a client bridge so that all the wireless communication is done between the two routers and I don't have to deal with horrible wireless drivers and software (plus it can act as a wireless adapter for up to 5 PCs in this room). My signal is going through six walls, and I was getting about 30-35% signal quality. I was getting some short pauses during transfers (horrible for gaming) and not quite getting my full internet bandwidth. To install these on the Buffalo, I had to cut away some of the plastic from the router so that they would fit on all the way. Otherwise it would not screw on far enough to make contact. Now that they're installed, I'm getting 45-50% signal quality, which was enough to get rid of the issues I was having. It feels just like a wired connection now.
