Cons: Doesn't work better than the stock 5dbi antenna. I've installed 4 of these in 3 different locations on the WGXXX WAPS. In each case reviewing signal strength on the upgraded antenna vs the stock antenna I lost 3-9 db of signal strength. On average ping times more than doubled, as well. This was with the Netgear branded, low-loss cable, 1m. Other Thoughts: The results are kind of frustrating considering this thing is 2 feet long and costs almost as much as the WAP does by itself. It could at least be an improvement... Before anyone makes assumptions - this is a 2.4ghz antenna and I was not using the WAG models that support 5ghz. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: works at all.
