Pros: Small, sleek design. Can be powered either by a USB port or by the included adapter.

Setup was easy--I used a browser to manually configure, as I prefer having direct control over settings. I don't use WPS at all, so that functionality was not tested.

Signal is good on 5 GHz band from three rooms away. I am using the adapter to stream video from a older HAVA and have had no issues with disconnection or drop-outs.

I have had the adapter in place for four days and so far no issues with dropped connections.

Cons: The only real "con" is the length of the included USB / power cable...I would have preferred that it included a longer cable.

This is an "n" class dual-band adapter. I would have preferred "ac" but at the price I cannot complain.

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with this equipment and would recommend it without reservation. This represents very good value for its price.

Pros: Easy to install. Streams video like a champ. Had it set up in 10-15 minutes.

Cons: Slightly long connectivity period once powered on. Drops connection when data is not consistently streaming.

Other Thoughts: This is a great device for streaming video, but can drop your connection when your data stream is idle while using a computer or gaming platform.

Pros: It is small, and looks ok

Cons: The unit constantly drops connection, even when it is close to my Netgear N600 router (WNDR3700v3). When it is connected, it doesn't transmit data fast enough to stream DVD quality content, let alone Bluray. But the biggest issue is that it just will NOT stay connected for more than about five or so minutes at a time. I also have a Netgear N900 DB USB adapter (WNDA4100), AND a Netgear Wireless Adapter (WNCE4004). Both of them work great, stay connected, and the WNCE4004 DOES stream Bluray content...it is super. So I'm thinking I may have gotten one a bad WNCE3001 unit. I finally just ran some CAT5 cable to the one machine and put the 3001 in the closet to collect dust.

Pros: Easy to set up. Just disable internet (on computer), hook it up with that computer, and open any browser, and go to mywifiext.com or mywifiext.net. Then follow the instructions (commonsense). In the beginning, speed seemed to be slow. Did power on/off couple of times, and was happy to see high speed. Watched online hi-def stuffs on my Xbox 360 in basement without any hitch over my Bell Internet's (2WIRE White Modem on ground floor) 54G connection. Powered up either thru Xbox USB (front) or via electrical outlet.

Cons: Casing is made of cheap (as it seems) shiny plastic. Extrmly light, so doesn't stand on its Base (provided) bcoz of cables running beneath the Base. Netgear cud attach a piece of metal to make the Base stronger. Also don't understand why price is so high (I paid $60, b4 tax). Took one egg off due to higher price.

Other Thoughts: I cud buy Xbox original Wireless USB Adapter for same price , but I wud have to use it ONLY for Xbox. Now I hv the freedom to use it with Xbox or whatever device with Ethernet option to make it wireless. I read somewhere that someone used it with his 8-port switch to make the whole switch wireless, and thus he attached his computers, Blue Ray, blah, blah with it and all worked fine. Thanks for the good idea!

Pros: Easy to setup, for what that is worth if the product doesn't function.

Cons: After setting up the WNCE3001 to talk to my Netgear WNDR4500, the WNCE3001 would report low signal strength, even if I placed the two directly next to each other. It would also drop the wireless connection about every 10 minutes, thus rendering it completely unusable. This behavior occurred when using either the 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz bands. I attempted to contact technical support via e-mail (no phone support is offered after 90 days), and in my initial e-mail explained that the troubleshooting steps I had taken, including updating the firmware. The first response was to ask me to update to the newest firmware, which immediately told me the support rep had never actually read my e-mail. After reiterating that I had already updated to the latest firmware, I was asked to reboot the device. And then reset to defaults. All of which I had already explained had been done multiple times. After going back and forth and continuing to get asked to repeat the same steps, I gave up and accepted I was not going to receive competent support, and if the product was defective, then they had no intention of replacing it.

Other Thoughts: My WNCE3001 is still collecting dust in my junk pile. Also, my Netgear WNDR4500 router I purchased at the same time recently died as well, and I am unable to get any support for it, either.

Pros: Good range, easy to setup and works with all my notebooks and both my WDTV Live Plus. It works well with my WNDR 3700 v2. Streams most of my movies with no drops or delays. Works very well with my Internet. This is my second one and I already was aware of the limitations. One really nice thing is that it is USB powered and is plugged into my WDTV extra usb port so it comes on with I turn on my media setup.

Cons: Will not stream Blu Ray (m2ts) over 12 to 15 gigs but that could be my 3700.

Other Thoughts: Netgear apparently has the next generation coming soon.

Pros: I got this device in order to connect my blu-ray player to the internet for services like Netflix, Pandora and You Tube. The setup was simple and my player was connected to the Internet in less than 30 mins. One great piece of hardware.

Cons: None, it works as advertised.

Pros: this has dual-band support which is very important to me. the USB-powered option is a plus. small form-factor.

Other Thoughts: bought this primarily because of the dual-band support; works great as expected on my Sony LCD TV together with my Netgear WNDR37AV-100NAS router
