POWERLINK Amplus is an indoor solution 1W bi-directional Booster designed for 2.4GHz wireless LANs. This unit comes with an easy plug-and-play installation, which works together with an indoor Wireless Access Point to improve its operation range and performance.

POWERLINK Amplus is ideal for use with 2.4 GHz frequency hopping or direct sequence spread spectrum radio modems and 802.11b/g devices.

POWERLINK Amplus increases range by providing transmit gain as well as low-noise receive gain. This receive gain increases the receive sensitivity of wireless LAN Access Point. Full output power of 1W is achieved with only 5mW input into the Booster.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Amplifier !

Pros: Solid Case & Compact Design
High Wattage Output / Cost
Drives a Large Range of Antennas ( 2-Db to 18-Db )
Active Signal LED Indicator
Amplifies in BOTH Directions

Cons: No Manual Shipped with Unit (None Available from Support)
12" Supplied Cables / Ends are Not Labeled or Marked
Power Supply has Lighted LED / No Power ON Light on Case
Power Supply PLUG Allows Arching Against Metal Case IF Plugged In When Wall-Wart is Active.

Other Thoughts: Amplifier Works Well & is a Compact Professional Package
Would be a No Brain-er Installation IF the Supplied 12" Cable had the Male/Female Ends Marked
( At 1st Sight it can Look Like Both Ends are the Same but One is Male & One is Female )
This Could Also be POINTED OUT - With a Simple Manual Which is MISSING. . .
Would Give 5-Stars IF it Included a Manual & Had a the Power ON Indicator ON THE CASE instead of ON THE POWER SUPPLY Wall-Wart.

4 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: works
30dbm gain output
comes with small test cable lol (not real world usage)

Cons: poor heat sink, it needs to be near an active fan or vent.
the 5dbi antenna is kinda lame
the small sma cable is also lame

Other Thoughts: check the cables, at first i got no output...
there are reverse sma plus and jacks... with normal too.
radio means the ap or the signal source

obviously, if you were intrested in the boosters, youd get a long sma cable
get the connectors and jacks and the reversies, the just use thin gauge (like 16/18AWG) coaxial.

also youd get a hi gain omni directional antenna for the ap / and directional for the client

I say 4/5 because it likes to heat up, and the input cable is fragile.

i have my ap with two of these, and a client pc with a directional antenna with the booster too.

TEST: I got 80% str with 100% quality at about 2200ft line of sight.
