Pros: You're welcome. For what you ask? Saving you $200! Don't ever buy this piece of junk.

Cons: Its complete junk. Bought it to stream computer to TV, not only does it flat out not work, but it it hijacks the only usable HDMi port from the computer.

I bought a different product that broadcasted via a USb stick to a receiver it worked fine for 6 months then just broke. I'd rather buy a product I knew was only going to last 6 months, that didn't hijack entire computer just to broadcast the image, oh ... and the kicker. ... actually worked.

Other Thoughts: Please, please, please do your future self a favor and do not order this. Your future self thanks you already bro.

1 out of 5 eggsIf at 1st you don't succeed ...

Pros: Nice design, apparently simple setup ...

Cons: DOA. Reviewed the instructions, watched the video on the OEMs website. Receiver wireless and sync lights were dead out of the box. Transmitter showed lit and functioning - could not get the receiver to do anything as documented.

Other Thoughts: Its electronics - some are DOA; just hate it when it happens to me. Reached out to Newegg - they RMA'd for 2day and next day for new. They take care of you - which between their service and the buyer reviews is why I choose them. Will revise my review when the new unit arrives and I can actually test this.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat idea, if it worked

Pros: Great idea for wireless HD video distribution
Includes IR remote control of source
Built-in USB return link

Cons: Range isn't even close to 150 feet
Documentation is woefully inadequate

Other Thoughts: When I saw the Actiontec MyWirelessTV, I thought, "This is just what I need!" so I ordered one. Once it arrived, I opened the box, reviewed the Quick Start Guide, which said the units are pre-paired for plug-n-go installation, and connected things up.
The sync lights on the transmitter and receiver just blinked. The Quick Start Guide said to see the User's Manual for manual pairing and further information. What User's Manual? Oh, that's right, you need to download it. Never mind that this is mentioned nowhere in the included documentation, nor is there any mention of a web site to find anything. The outside of the box does have the website, which is actually pretty obvious.
Anyway, after getting the User's Manual, it says the Sync buttons are used for manual pairing, but doesn't list a procedure. It did say that a blinking sync LED means the units are not paired, and a steady LED means they are paired. OK, but what about the different rates at which the LED's blink, and what do the three different colors mean? And how about the different brightness levels of the WiFi LED? Frustrating, to say the least.
Regardless, I got the units to pair by placing them directly next to one another. With the units three feet apart, I had already lost one of 10 bars of signal strength. Once I had the receiver one floor up (about 50 feet apart,) I only had 1 bar, and the video wasn't viewable.

1 out of 5 eggsMisleading advertising

Pros: low latency, high resolution picture

Cons: No 5.1 audio to remote location
Large delay and irregular signal with the USB back channel feature

Other Thoughts: Despite the box placing the 5.1 audio logo next to the range indicator of 5.1 audio and the promise of uncompressed audio, this device will only transmit 2 channel audio to the remote location. 5.1 audio is available of the HDMI pass through on the transmitter which is how they get away with saying it is technically 5.1 compatible.

1 out of 5 eggsMost Frustrating Tech I've Ever Owned

Pros: Good picture and sound....When it works

Cons: I've had so many problems with this device and have wasted countless hours trying to fix it. It'll work ok for a month (after a least a minute of fussing each time) and then completely fail, thus having to spend at least an hour disconnecting everything and try and re - couple in the danger room. I've never hated a piece oc equipment more.

I've tried the firmware upgrades and even the Shoreham hdmi cable from the manufacture but to no avail. Tech support is a joke.

If you have hours of free time to waste fighting with this awful piece of tech, please be my guest.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks - when it wants to

Pros: When it works, it works good! clear image/audio, real HD.

Cons: It has compatibility issues with CISCO cable boxes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. It loses audio every time any TV connected to it is turned on/off; and take about 1 minute to pick it back up.

Other Thoughts: Contacted support and they told me some vague instructions that, after hours of trying to access in the cable box, couldnt access. I dont know why they couldnt tell me explicit instructions when I asked explicit questions.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: Very simple plug and play. Took 15 minutes to connect to My
HDTV and Uverse box. Anyone with basic home tech experience can hook this up. Mine transmit from the second floor to the first with zero lag! If you need a way to transmit your HDMI signal to another TV purchase this now! No need to do anymore research! It works!!!!

Cons: Not sure how to use the features of the remote that came with the unit.
