5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, well weighted, magnet on bottom can become handy when used.

Cons: Does not increase my modems speed, but I guess that is fine since its not intended too.

Other Thoughts: having the wireless router and modem on the first floor and my desktop on the second floor I was lucky if I would be able to get 2 bars out of my wireless connection with everything plugged in to my desktop. With this plugged in I now get 4 bars on continuous strength, I can really tell a difference in game. Great purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsBoosted my connection

Pros: I paired this with a TP-Link wireless adapter that was starting to go in and out of connection with a router only 20 feet away from my computer. This made the 1-2 bar connection go to 5 bars when the antenna is in the right direction.
The magnetic base is awesome as well. I've mounted this upside down under my metal desk away from eyesight and it's been working wonders.

Cons: Some may be put off by how large this antenna is

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Significantly increased wi-fi signal reception. I live in a 2,000sqft home with my router on one side of the house and my computer on the other (not an ideal setup, I know). This antenna took my signal from 2 bars with random drops to a solid 5 bars. Upgraded a 4dbi antenna on an older TP-Link adapter.

Cons: No real cons. A longer cord would have been nice but they can be bought separately.

5 out of 5 eggsNoticeable Improvement

Pros: Great bang for the buck. Improves Wi-Fi reception noticeably.

Cons: Minor quib -- the included cable is thin and unshielded. It feels very fragile. OK if you are not yanking on the antenna.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works exactly as advertised--much better signal strength as compared to my 2 dBi antenna. The base is nice and hefty so it's not easily knocked around.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsworks well

Pros: use two of these with an asus di-pole wireless adapter, strong enough to punch through 5 walls, all the em interference of the utility room and kitchen in a nearly 100 year old house and about a 30 ft total distance to the wireless router all while maintaining perfect signal strength

Cons: strong magnets on the bottom make placement/storage/transport a little more calculated

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good range and reception.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you need a more powerful for your wireless receiver, this is a good choice, antenna even managed to resurrect a very old wireless card for a test system I put together.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cheap fix

Pros: Cheap - get it on sale. It works.
Nice cord. Weighted base does not tip over.

Cons: Newegg is no longer the cheapest place to get this antenna. I picked up for $9.99 and a local brick and mortar computer store.

Other Thoughts: Got this for my TL-WN722N adapter in the basement and TL-WR1043ND router on main floor of my house. The 722N usually will get 3 to 4 bars. That's not bad but I am a geek and like to tweak. When I replaced one of the 3 antennae from the 1043ND with ANT2408C, it did not make any difference. I took the antenna and put it in the 722N. After experimenting with moving it around, I can now get 5 bars.

3 out of 5 eggsDepends on what you upgrade from...

Pros: Base is wall mountable and magnetic, antenna has an elbow so it can be set straight, 45 or 90 degrees.

Cons: No real improvement over my previous 2dbi antenna.

Other Thoughts: I have a Rokland n3 and have used it for over 3 years with great results in hundreds of locations. It came with a very short 2dbi antenna and in my current location the best I could get is 4 bars, 73% signal strength and 81% signal quality. With the new antenna, there was negligible improvement at best. Either the Rokland n3 is a beast by itself or this antenna isn't what it is supposed to be.

That being said, I will keep the antenna since I got it for half of what it is here and there was at least "some" improvement.
