5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I bought this item because I'm in a situation where I have to have a wireless connection and the antennas in my wifi card just couldn't even detect my network. After installing it I went from not being able to see my network into getting speeds of 15 megabits per second, so I'm very pleased with this product. I don't lag in games unless I have multiple applications in the background using up internet.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I recommend getting this product if you're like me, having to run a wireless setup.

3 out of 5 eggsDidn't use it.

Pros: Magnets in base hold it to metal objects

Cons: 3 foot cable. One of the reasons to use an external antenna is to be able to maximize reception by placing it in an spot to receive good reception. This was purchased to upgrade the cheap antenna that came with my WIFI card. But the old antenna had an 8ft cable. I was able to put the old antenna around a corner to have one less wall between the antenna and the router. This TP-LINK antenna has a 3 ft cable. Not able to place it where the old antenna was, the result was it had less sensitivity than the old antenna.

Other Thoughts: Too cheap to pay to return.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a Review

Pros: I have been looking getting an extension antenna for network card. I noticed that the wording in specs for connection didn't seem right compared to photo. I went to TP-LINKS sight and confirmed my suspicions:

Cons: Where it says RP-SMA male connector, should say RP-SMA female connector. Don't mean to be a correction bug but almost turned me away. But wanted to share for future low level buyers Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsDid the job

Pros: I needed to boost the signal on a workstation that had a wireless card buried behind a desk. This one did the trick. I don't think you can find an 8dBi antenna for less.

Cons: Cable is a bit short, but just long enough.

5 out of 5 eggsExternal antenna WIFI

Pros: Works great very sturdy and strong magnets improved my bars from 3 to 5 great that's what I wanted. I purchased two of them this works great better than a two port one that I had tried from another adapter. You can space them as needed to get better reception.

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: These are for 2.4 GHZ band not 5 GHZ so beware of that

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, well weighted, magnet on bottom can become handy when used.

Cons: Does not increase my modems speed, but I guess that is fine since its not intended too.

Other Thoughts: having the wireless router and modem on the first floor and my desktop on the second floor I was lucky if I would be able to get 2 bars out of my wireless connection with everything plugged in to my desktop. With this plugged in I now get 4 bars on continuous strength, I can really tell a difference in game. Great purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsBoosted my connection

Pros: I paired this with a TP-Link wireless adapter that was starting to go in and out of connection with a router only 20 feet away from my computer. This made the 1-2 bar connection go to 5 bars when the antenna is in the right direction.
The magnetic base is awesome as well. I've mounted this upside down under my metal desk away from eyesight and it's been working wonders.

Cons: Some may be put off by how large this antenna is
