5 out of 5 eggsIncreased My Signal 2 Bars!

Pros: Raised my WiFi signal 2 bars by using the extension cable, and elevating the antenna.above my desktop. When this antenna was installed onto my card without the extension cable, there was no difference in signal. Experiment with different locations, it may make a big difference.

It is quite large, so take the length into consideration.

Antenna length =15" WITHOUT BASE
16" WITH BASE

Cons: None, other than the length should have been in the product description.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Antenna

Pros: Very good range. I used it to replace my TP-LINK USB Wireless adapter's antenna, and saw a great increase in signal strength. I like that the base is magnetic as well. I could go as far as using it for a wireless NIC and slapping that magnetic base on the side of my PC case if I wanted. All in all, it works great and I'd definitely recommend it, especially with how huge it is.

Cons: I can't see the magnetic base holding the heavy antenna very well if you were to place it against a metal surface, with the antenna angled upwards at 90 degrees. I can see it falling off. The cost of such a large antenna I suppose.

Other Thoughts: I suppose in terms of performance this product delivers well. The only problem I had was how little faith I had in the magnetic base supporting the antenna at 90 degrees. This isn't necessarily important to most, though.

5 out of 5 eggsHUGE!!

Pros: It works for what i needed it for

Cons: It is large, could use a few holes in the base for mounting points. The base is magnetic however the size and weight of the thing makes me wonder if the magnet will hold for long. I would much rather screw it into place for stability.

I wish the wire was longer.

Other Thoughts: The cons listed are just me being picky the magnets seem to have held for well over 3 weeks with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked like a Charm.

Pros: Did exactly what I needed to do. I was only getting around 2 megs download speed in my basement and top floor from my wireless router. It came with two 5dBi antennas on it.

I installed two of these and now I'm getting 13-15 megs download speed with the stronger signal.

Cons: Can't really think of any. They work great. They are kind of big, but that should be obvious before buying so I can't say I would think of that as a con.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: Would be a good value if it lasted longer than a month.

Cons: Purchased on March 20th. Reception started getting bad after 2 weeks. April 16 antenna has failed.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Performance

Pros: None

Cons: Item didn't work. I have a Dlink DWA533 capable of using 3 Antennas. I tried Each of my 3 antennas seperately to see if there was difference in the number of wireless Networks available and to check the reception strength of my host network. My other two Antennas worked great. While testing this one, I noticed this one was no different then using nothing at all. Bottom line it didn't work.

Other Thoughts: I also purchased a Rosewill RNX-A5 2.4 GHz Indoor 5 dBi High Performance Detachable Omni-Directional Antenna and it worked way better then this one.

4 out of 5 eggsgood antenna

Pros: really good signal boost over the standard 1 - 4 db duck antennas that come one routers these days

Cons: like others have said before.. I could have used about 5 feet more cable, and an option of a base that could be mounted to a wall or rafter in the attic instead of magnetic only

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Antenna

Pros: Has consistant Wireless N speeds, great signal strength. nice length of cable.

Cons: magnetic base was nice, but worries me in electronics safety... cable wasn't long enough for my application.

Other Thoughts: Magnetic base: great for if my surface were metal, but since not, super glue fixes the issue. glad i have extension cables for these. I wonder how well my Hawking Tech signal amplifiers will work with them.
