2 out of 5 eggsThe unfortunate and sad truth.

Pros: Awesome Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU/GPU, super fast, with ultra smooth performance. Almost the perfect S.o.C. for the Android operating system. Touch screen and included stylus are awesome, they work flawlessly. The LCD panel is a lower quality than I would have liked but, it is adequate enough to count as a pro. The WiFi on the TN7, is a beast, it will connect to anything and everything.... Unfortunately this is where the Pros kinda end.

Cons: The actual build quality of the TN7, is horrendous! Flimsy and creaky it is bad. My daughters XO tablet is built better and that's a really bad cheap tablet. The Tegra Note 7, has terrible ports on it too. I am not talking about selection. It has the standard Micro USB, and Micro HDMI. The Micro USB on my tablet has already stopped connecting to my tablet, and its only 5~6 months old! That's ridiculous! I should also mention the available RAM is only 1 Gb.?. I don't care what anyone says, this is too little even for 4.4 KitKat.The last but certainly not forgotten Con of this list is the dang cameras! they are the worst cameras on anything I have seen in the last 2 years. Seriously. The back camera is a 5Mp camera which shouldn't be that bad but it is. It must have a tiny sensor and cheap plastic lens, because it doesn't take good pictures. The front camera is... not worth typing all out. That's how bad it is.

Other Thoughts: Now I will give EVGA the benefit of the doubt, maybe I just got a lemon, but I am not happy with this purchase. In fact I am kinda mad about it. The Micro USB failing is just too much, unacceptable.

-Can play every game on the app store, including ones that are Nvidia Tegra Specific
-Stylus
-Fast Bluetooth keyboard response
-graphics look absolutely stunning!
-Speakers are nice and loud
-Picture quality is quite presentable
-Comes pre-loaded with not that many apps
-The magnetic back allows me to stick it to metal services, and essentially allows me to work better.
-Not overly Complicated
-Battery Life lasts me longer then my phone!
-Easy to use
-Back Camera quality is very nice

Cons: -1GB of Ram
-Front camera is horrible
-Doesn't react with my finger tips sometimes, but that's because of my finger tips.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great speed. Latest update.

Cons: The worst battery life that I have seen on any tablet. What good is a gaming tablet if it lasts less than an hour while playing games?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Miton A.,

I am sorry to hear of the confusion as your battery should last longer than 1 hour playing a single game, in most cases. Please understand however that if you do have other applications open in the background this can affect the batter life and depending on the application it may be very processor intensive and cause extra power draw. Please contact our 24 hour technical support if you are in need of help with troubleshooting this further as we do have someone available 24 hours at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at Newegg@evga.com.

Sincerely,
EVGA Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Tablet for the Price

Pros: This tablet is very fast I can web browse and do any daily task extremely quick and without ever having a single stutter. Many people say the screen is too low res but I find it completely acceptable for normal use and media comsumption. Games run extremely well. I do not use the stylus very much but it is a nice bonus.

Cons: The charging port can be a little awkward, it feels like it requires a little too much force to plug in and taking it out I feel will break it eventually.

Other Thoughts: Overall very good tablet with just one problem that is not very serious now but could be serious in the future after a lot of use.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice for performance

Pros: - Despite the minuscule amount of RAM it is quite fast and never seems to fill up.

- Nvidia Tegra 4 is good at playing games.

- Price

Cons: - Doesn't natively support over 32GB MicroSD cards.

Other Thoughts: Its possible to use higher capacity MicroSDXC by formating them to FAT32 while maintaining capacity by using third party applications.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Potential

Pros: Smooth transition between screens
Comfortable
Battery lasts for decent time idle and playing games
Front facing speakers are nice and loud
Stylus makes it easy to jot down notes

Cons: Within the first two weeks:
Volume button is sometimes hard to use
Loose charging port
Stylus constantly slips out of spot; had to disable the pop up menu.
After two weeks:
Touch screen starts messing up for no reason. Try to scroll, and it will click multiple times instead. Sometimes it starts pulling down menus. Didn't have an issue with this until after the touch screen fix update, though I'm not saying that necessarily has anything to do with it.

Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed this tablet during my first two weeks of using it, but these technical issues have caused me a lot of frustration. If the issue is resolved, I will fix my review accordingly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Samantha P,
I am glad to hear that you were enjoying your tablet, but if you are having some problems with it now then please call our 24 hour technical support at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or contact us by email at Newegg@evga.com as were are here to help.

4 out of 5 eggs1 week review

Pros: You wont find anything better in the$ 150-$300 range
so I own an Nvidia Shield and Asus Transformer Infinity (both with Tegra 4)
So I read a lot of mixed reviews so here is mine
- I was worried about the screen resolution as my phone is a 1080 and my tablet is a 2k, but as far as clarity it really is a non issue. thanks to it being an IPS screen it has vibrant colors and good viewing angles and acceptable brightness unless you are outside. yes you can see the screen lines in the right angle of light but I think that is part of the direct stylus tech.
Speaking of which, I am amazed at the precision of this stylus. The pressure sensitivity is astounding. the only downside is that the tegra paint app is very limited and no one else seems to be taking advantage of this tech. I like to draw and if the right program were to be developed this could be perfect.
It seems to be made pretty durable
The Camera is decent, not great but not bad. It would probably perform better if it had a flash.
Pure google, or at least as pure as you can get is great. and Nvidia has been very aggressive with updates, that is defiantly been great with the Shield and Note to know that unlike most tablets and phones they give up on updates after a few months.
finaly it is FAST, just as you come to expect from the TEGRA 4 chip, it is always snappy even after I loaded up the screens with widgets and apps,

Cons: BATTERY LIFE. With all the horsepower that put in this thing and even with Tegra 4's battery power. for some strange reason they only put in an 1500mAh battery. To reference my HTC one (m7) that has a 2300mAh battery. I would have thought that there would have at least been a better battery in it. 4-6 hours seems to be the pretty common usable time on this. So I am disappointed that they would skimp on this.

Speakers: I will say it is better that it has front facing speakers and the can put out some good volume, however over the years I have come to expect a lot from the NVIDIA pure Audio. Now once again I will compare to my HTC One that has a similar speaker form factor. The HTC one does have a better cleaner fuller sound, this is just done by better software control. So Nvidia did put some good speakers in this thing but they didn't tune it that well. I don't know if comparing it to the Nvidia Shield is fair but those speakers are quite incredible. Not only loud, but clean, and very well tuned. So I know they could do it. So it is still possible for the speakers to be better if they were to tune the software.
So there were some review on the charging/USB port. I have found it to not be the best, but not that bad, However the charger that comes with the tablet and the USB cable are pretty cheap. I was expecting to get the same charger and cable that came with my NVIDA Shield, which I have been using the Shield charger and cable and it fits just great and charges fast.

Other Thoughts: So I have been using it for media streaming movies and music, and reading. Its very light so it makes for a great ereader and web browser and with stylus makes a great note taker. I would not plan on using this as a full day usage due to the battery, but if you are looking for the best budget tablet this is the tablet. It does out perform ipad mini's

I did get the cover for it for free, it is not worth $30 but it was nice for free mostly as a screen protector and I do like the magnetic adjustable stand.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great for the cost

Pros: Clear picture and very fast. Rotation has a mind of its own. Nice tablet for the cost

Cons: Not an iPad, but for half the price, it is very nice
