2 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: Good Battery Life

Cons: Poor physical construction. USB connector is awfull. Stylus comes apart. Flimsy, flexible case. Buttons are hard to press when you want to, yet easily accidentally pressed. If you have already been suckered, use super glue dots on either ends of volume button so your fingers can feel it. It snapped memory card in half.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy a memory card if you want to use kitkat4.4.2
Google renders memory card useless. I got the warning and did not upgrade. But the tablet I replaced it with already had 4.4.2. Google, please change this.
Beware of it being sold under other brand name.

2 out of 5 eggsworks well for 6-8 months

Pros: very powerful chip and processor
micro sd slot

battery life is very poor - 4 hours perhaps under load
screen is subpar compared to samsung tab devices

Other Thoughts: worked find for a few months, then stopped holding its charge, and now won't even charge.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tablet

Pros: Price
Fast Processor
IPS panel
High Resolution (For Price)
Android OS
Sturdy Design
Nice Camera
Stereo Speakers (That actually sound really nice for Highs and Mids)
Battery life is pretty good

Cons: 1 GB of RAM (Even though it can handle just about everything with 1 GB I would of liked to see 2GB of RAM)
Besides that I can't really say anything bad about it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Performance for Price

Pros: -Nice looking display
-Mini-HDMI port
-Long battery life (for me)

Cons: -Recessed mini-USB port is difficult to access
-Build quality leaves something to be desired
-Low quality cameras (but you know that because you read the specs, right?)

Other Thoughts: This runs everything in the app store. That stylus is easy to use--not quite as easy as EVGA shows in their videos, but certainly not difficult. I use it often at work for making diagrams and sketches. I love having the ability to take a picture of a piece of equipment, import it into the Write program, and take notes all over it, all in the space of a few minutes without being near a computer. I bought it at $200 about six months ago and still think it's worth that now. For $150 I don't think you can beat it!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product but...

Pros: AMAZING speakers
micro HDMI
sd slot
crazy fast
great stylus
USB OTG!!!!!!

Cons: Charging port is low quality and shaped weird but there is a reason for that (it's made to fit both types of USB OTG adapters)
display is mehh but for $200 and the capability to plug it into a tv via hdmi it's not a game changer

Other Thoughts: I plug this into a mega projector and play half life 2 and nova 3 with a Bluetooth controller or an xbox controller (through USB OTG) and so many people have thought i was gaming on a console because of the quality

1 out of 5 eggsPoor craftsmanship

Pros: Fast processor, good front speaker

Cons: Product itself is poorly constructed. Screen easily cracks

Other Thoughts: I had EVGA Tegra note now for 8 months now. During this months it was hardly used, less than 100 hrs. It was not mishandled and abused in any way. Recently I took out Tegra note to work along with my ipad in my brief case. When I took it out to play a game during my lunch period, I was shocked to see Tegra behaving strange way. In fact it looked like the internal component of the screen looked cracked but I didn't believe that since it was never dropped or banged in any way. I assumed something else was wrong.

I called EVGA customer service next day to get replaced since it was still under warranty. After talking to their representative, I shipped the unit to get it replaced. Week later, I got a email from them that it was not the manufacture's fault but mine. They claim physical abusive was the result of the malfunction and it was not the manufacture's defect. I was shocked. Cosmetically tegra note was in perfect shape. External screen was in perfect shape yet EVGA RMA represent indicated that internal component of the screen was cracked will not be replaced without cost of $75 to me. I request to talk to supervisor but representative whose name was Jayson indicated that he was the manager of the department and there was no way that it will be replaced without cost to me. I was forced to pay $75 to get it replaced and I am now waiting to get the unit back.

Tegra Note is nice unit with fast processor but obviously with poor workmanship. It is really badly made and with no real warranty from EVGA. I have used EVGA products for many years including their graphics cards and mother boards. I will never buy Anything from them ever again.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay Tablet

Pros: The tab is not very expensive. The tab was smooth while running. Front facing speakers are very nice, if you don't use headphones. I like the weight. Its heavy but i like it. Its got a grippy back which is nice.

Cons: The biggest concern with the tablet was the battery life. It drains in one day while I'm not using it. I have to turn everything thing off to save battery which is annoying if im just taking the tab out to play in between my classes. If I forget, ill have a drained tablet after a couple of lectures. The pen works but is inconsistent with its functionality. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You'll notice certain ways of holding the tab will not make the pen work. The cameras are pretty bad.

Other Thoughts: After 4 months of little use, the tablet died. its very sad as it spent most of its time laying on my desk. I went to the tegra note 7 as a cheap alternative note taking tab but it turned out to be too small and dead after 4 months. Now its a very expensive paper weight.

4 out of 5 eggsLovely Table

Pros: Very fast even compared to the higher priced, high end tablets. Graphics are lovely, streaming movies is a breeze. Very light, easy to operate and the stylus is a nice tough. I highly recommend purchasing the cover for protection and use as a stand.

Cons: The USB charger stopped working after a couple of months, but we found a replacement easily enough. Seems like the charger would be something not to skimp on.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased over all. Don't use while plugged in or find another charger.

1 out of 5 eggsEvga Tegra note 4

Pros: Nice stylus

Cons: I do not command this 7 inches tablet
With a full charge it only play Asphalt 8 for about 4 hours and a half , and it take 12 hrs to recharge the tablet
My apple retina mini 8 inches take only 2 hrs to recharge
Bad recharged connector
Tablet very heavy compare with other

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

When charging the Tegra Note 7, it is recommended place the device in Stand By mode, which will cut down on the charge time. If you are charging the tablet via a USB port on a laptop or desktop computer, then it will take a bit longer. If you have any other questions or concerns, I would encourage you to contact our 24 hour Technical Support team by phone 1.888.881.3842 and pressing option 1 or by email, so that we can further assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT

(get the cover - it's worth it!)
light weight
great display
camera - back and front - nice!
wicked fast
if you're hooked up w/google, "install" is painless (5 min?)
stereo speakers are incredible - compared to other tabs, smartphones - a real sound, without the need for external speakers
love the extra sd micro drive, access for only

Cons: the power cord is stupid short
i haven't found an extension for the cord, yet

Other Thoughts: love the extra sd micro drive
USB cable access for only the newer size
