This review is from: Apple MacBook Pro Intel Core i7 16GB DDR3 512GB SSD 15.4" Retina display Mac OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion (ME665LL/A)
Pros: Simple, nice for simple school work
Cons: Completely overpriced, I built a computer with double to triple all of the stats in this computer for 1600.
Other Thoughts: Good for the simple schoolwork, obviously not a gaming computer :D

Pros: so i reciever this computer working and had bought at an apple store. within a week the battery had died on me and i was no longer able to use it unplugged. when i tried returning it i had a hard time at the apple store returning it since they had been telling me that i was the cause the battery died and they wanted me to pay to get the laptop working again.
Cons: -Price -Apple -Apple computers are garbage -Bad customer support -could get a pc for 1/2 the price and still be better
Other Thoughts: Next time im going to stick to PC.

Pros: Nicest laptop I've ever used. The IPS 2880x1800 display is amazing, the CPU is great, the 16GB ram is good, the discrete graphics are good enough to play any of my games. It's thin and light, first laptop I've ever had that I can use for gaming or work, and is light enough to carry around, with great battery life. I bootcamp windows 7 64 bit (for gaming and work) and use OS X just for fun, I like web browsing and email/calendar in OS X. I run parallels to run my bootcamp windows install in a VM when needed. 90% of the time I'm running this natively with win 7 though.
Huge price drop here from when it first came out, a similar config then was close to $3500.
Cons: For windows users, you are missing the DEL key and the prtscrn key (Del is backspace, FN-DEL is del). This is just due to having an appl kbd. I got used to it.

Pros: I have essentially this model from 2 1/2 years ago and it's still going strong, no problems! Apples just keep going and going and going like the Energizer bunny! And the OS is a dream compared to Windows (which I also use regularly on other computers). I would recommend this over any PC no matter the price difference.
Cons: more expensive than a generic PC
Other Thoughts: Buy this if you want a laptop you can rely on

Pros: Very productive laptop. Quiet, light and the battery lasts an exceptionally long time. Able to run multiple VMs at once, "get the 16 gig mem version for that". Outstanding virus protection on it's own. I have no virus protection... LOL. Works with my existing monitors, so no need to go out and buy Apple's $1000 monitors. Everything I have so far is 100% compatible with Mac.
Cons: Pricey.
Other Thoughts: If you work from home like I do on this thing, By or at least hook it up to your external monitor and use that. Save your retina display...
