Pros: -Bright screen
-speakers in the front of the laptop
-fast boot
-very little bloat
-comfortable keyboard

Cons: -"shallow" keyboard
-no latch for the screen

Other Thoughts: -I wish there was built in bluetooth instead of a modem, but such is life.
-There is not a lot of bloat ware, only took like 15 minutes to uninstall.
-Overall, a good deal IMO

Pros: Large 15.6'' Display! Fast 2.00 GHz processor, 3 gigs of RAM and a 1 year warranty from Gateway! This computer is one of the fastest laptops I have owned, it handles Vista like a champ. The keyboard is nice, no complaints, there is an ability to disable the tap to click function on the mouse so that adds to this laptops greatness! The touch sensitive media controls are a nice add on, the only real bells and whistles of this laptop. It's great for light gaming and school/home use.

Cons: Boots to the log on screen kind of slow but that's just Vista I believe. No real cons to speak of, this thing is a pro! ;)

Other Thoughts: I was looking at the MC series notebook so I was expecting media controls on both the left and right side of the PC's keyboard, of course that was my stupidity for not paying attention to the series number, it's still a great laptop overall. I love this thing!

Pros: Looks nice, seems fast running mild aps

Cons: Cover looks all scratched up after only a few days of putting it in my backpack with gentle handling. Shiny surfaces are a finger print magnet. Blue screen the first day. The keys are stiff and often misses letters unless you hammer the keys. The lid hinge is very stiff, as an engineer in the hinge business explained to me, this is called lid lift and the cheaper manf (ahem...CHINA) do this because as you use it it becomes too weak to support the screen. I think my days of owning Gateways are limited since they have been bought out by our non-friends across the west pond.

Other Thoughts: BUY AMERICAN IF YOU CAN FIND IT.....WE NEED JOBS TOO!
