great laptop for the price
- Pros: this thing is one of the best netbooks you could find. Sure it's not the fastest laptop but it does everything that it's supposed to do, even 720p blu-ray movies and did i mention it's ultra-lightweight?
- Cons: fingerprint magnet

Great Notebook. Fast and Lean. Real Battery Life!
- Pros: This machine is great. Supper quiet and cool. Dual core is twice as fast at the other cerleron 743 1.4 or whatever. Has 4500MHD graphics chip, which is better than the other notebooks. Usually only in more expensive models. Battery will last all day if you dont use it much. Way better than Iphone!
- Cons: My fan was loud for a day or two. It sounded like it was making contact with a wire or plastic inside the netbook. I turned the netbook on its side or upsidown and noticed it went away. After a day it was silent. I was considering returning it or looking for similar probems, but it is fine now. Maybe a new bearing?
Narrow viewing angle. Pretty quiet speakers...
- Other Thoughts: I can open all five office programs a web page and load google earth at once, and can surf within two seconds as all other programs pop imediatly. Try that on my xp athlon 3000.
Got 600 on 3dmark 2006. Thats compared to 180 for the atom 1.6 and 340 or something for the sigle core celeron and 590 for the core solo 1.4. This thing is a tiny beast!
Netbook to Go
- Pros: I have several laptops, but I wanted something smaller but not an atom processor and not a 10 inch screen for travelling that easy to carry, yet big enought to see the full web page and have a long life battery.
This Gateway with duel SU2300s and a 11.6 inch screen is just right, with a screen that will take a web page in full.
I am not a gamer, do not connect to boxes or tvs and don't overclock or start pulling parts. I just want a good fast computer with web access from my car , with good wiFi reception, and this little sucker does it, and does it well. I am picking up three times the WiFis that I never knew was there until I got this EC1435u. This netbook is about $50.00 more costly that the cheaper notebooks, but with duel processors, 64 Bit Windows7 home preminum and larger lcd it is more that worth the extra cost. the 2 gigs of memory is fine for my needs. Forget the CD/DVDs and just use flash drives and wireless for all my needs.
Totally love it after uninstalling bloatware

- Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money and get a real Notebook. I have been buying ALL my electronics from Newegg for 8 years and have always been impressed with the service and prices.
