5 out of 5 eggsLove this tablet

Pros: I've tested other tablets and Blackberry is much better than an Android, camera has impressive picture and video quality, fast and easy internet, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Cons: Video Chat is great from one Playbook to another, but only if everyone you know has a Playbook, unfortunately, you cannot download other programs, for example, skype to video chat with friends and family members. Also, No Micro SD slot and USB is only output to connect to a computer for transferring music, pictures and video files.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow up review

Pros: Great little unit. Does everything ad said it will do. I bought 2 of these and both are still going great. When I travel overseas, I don't even take my lap top or camera with me now. This little machine does it all. My wife and I use video chat to talk with each other, I check email and surf the web and take impressive photos and videos. These also upload to FB with no problem. Thank you RIM for a great little tab.

Cons: Not able to use a flash drive or memory card with the unit. Goodereader has gone along way to allow some android APPs the work on PB, like Kindle Reader, but Skype video doesn't work yet. Skype Beta does work well for texting. The PB APP for video chat works great but is limited to another PB owner.

Other Thoughts: Both my wife and I love our BlackBerry Playbooks. Front and back camera both work on chat so you can give tours of your area while talking on the video chat APP.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't Believe The Bad Press (It's Great)

Pros: Blackberry Bridge
Great Screen
Great Battery life (Couple Days of light, or 10 hours solid use)
Great Price (64gb under 300 :)
Cheap accessories (Otterbox for half the iPad one)
Built in Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations (Microsoft file format Compatible)
Very Bright for Day (The highest of any tablet)
and Very Dimmable Screen
The latest OS 2.0 has Android Built in so it works with Kindle now.
You can watch flash sites on it.
They have games for cheap, angry birds, etc.
Definitely a Good little Device. Just follow instructions closely for updates and you'll have no problems, It's as good or better than the android platform.

Cons: At the 300 price-point for a 64Gigabyte model, there are no cons. Videos, Pictures, great 8mp rear, and 5mp front camera.
No hulu, netflix, excel doesn't integrate with wireless keyboard well. However, most tablet owners watch netflix, and hulu on their laptop or desktop or xbox or PS3 anyway for the larger screen. Need a device that can do all you need, grab a Playbook.

Other Thoughts: I think they rushed to market, had a lot of operating software bugs, and it poisoned the well due to poor management at the top. Microsoft Windows Millenium, was far slower, far worse a product than the OS running on this little tablet. However, Microsoft had good press people, and fixed the product which evolved into XP, then 7, now 8.

I'm a geek, trust me it's nice. It's not an iPad

3 out of 5 eggsOverpriced

Pros: True multitasking environment.

Movie player is great.

Cons: OS is a work in progress. Good for what it does, but app store still severely lacking. No Netflix, Hulu, Kindle, Nook company supported apps.

Android player is weak on memory mgmt so apps hang or do not load.

No printer support.

Stability and future of RIM.

Other Thoughts: Bought my 64GB a few days before the OS2 update for $299 from Newegg. That is a fair price for this device. When saw the price was back to $699 had to write review. If you want a device that is worth $699 try the Motorola XYBoard 8.2. That is actually worth the money.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Tablet

Pros: 64 GB, flawless video playback, high resolution, just the right size, great for video games, good cameras, solid wifi, easy to use interface, good runtime on battery charge, new software update has some nice features, video chat between playbooks works nicely.

Cons: haven't seen android apps yet, I've heard it's gonna be limited but we'll wait to see. MicroSD slot would have been nice, even with the 64 gig, gps seems maybe a bit sluggish, magnetometer for compass doesn't seem like it's working, but that may be the software.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this to watch movies on at work since I run equipment for like 5 minutes then sit in place for like 30, perfect for what I needed. Got my wife the 16 gig since she didn't need all the storage for movies, she loves it, we both use them all the time. I've never seen a glitch with them other than the gps seeming slow, might work better outside though. Absolutely no glitches or framerate loss on movies or games. Would have rated 5 stars but for the problems with magnetometer and gps, wanted to use this for stargazing with an app that tells you what stars you're looking at, but either the app I DL'd is broken or the gps/magnetometer don't work right.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk!

Pros: Size is perfect, fits in your pocket, has full access to the web true multitasking, sound is adequate the display is very good.

Cons: Doesnt' work half the time.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money. If I could return it I would. I love the thing when it's working but that's not for long. The software is very buggy even after the update especially the browser. Freezes up a lot and have to reboot daily. I bought this brand new and even though I love the size it is totally unreliable.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressive

Pros: This is one underrated tablet that works well on many levels. I really like the iPad and it has worked well but this is a different beast. The 7 inch display is beautiful and portability is awesome. It's light weight but feels hefty and built strong. The OS is fast and clean; multitasking is a breeze, along with bezel swiping which makes for smooth transitions. Now that update 2.0 is available anyone without a Blackberry will get all the native greatness they were missing before. In fact the email (messaging client) is probably the best I've seen or used on any device. You will be able to transfer files to and from a pc via usb or wifi; both very easy to use. If you own a Blackberry the bridge app is fantastic. You can use your BB phone as a remote keyboard/mouse, link to files on the phones media card (music, pics, etc.), use BBM, notes, messages, tasks, browser (which is connected directly the phones network) and a few other cool things. No more space...

Cons: I have 28 apps that fit my needs and don’t really need anything else yet, so the lack of apps is not a life threatening issue for me but could be a con for some either way it's not the device's fault. I don't think lack of SD card slot is such a problem at all. Most people never even use them on a tablet if there's another way to transfer files but it wouldn't hurt. I'm not a fan of placement of the ports, it sucks sometimes not being able to stand device horizontally when anything is connected, though not a huge issue.

Other Thoughts: The browser is fast and like a desktop browser you won't miss anything. Play tv shows from their websites, flash games, tabs; it's a full web browsing experience. Video chat is nice, I use it often with fellow Playbook owners. This device may not be for everyone as nothing ever is, so take your time toying with it or any tablet and do your research.

3 out of 5 eggsBlackberry Tablet

Pros: This blackberry tablet is really easy to use and fast. It's pretty slick looking and resolution is very high.

Cons: But on the other hand I was very disappointed in it. I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. Just about every application she uses is not compatible for this table. So I traded for an android table.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Fast, Simple, Responsive. Plenty of space and easily configured to install software. And the price!

Cons: You cant install SD cards to it like most tablets these days.

Other Thoughts: I like it better than my Android tablet. That's subjective. It does a great at picking up my router, surfing, installing apps... I would buy it again. No problems or issues so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tablet for the sale price ...

Pros: 1. Truly portable, especially when compared to the iPad and iPad sized tablets.
2. Amazing and ingenious OS (QNX). Smooth, fluid, responsive.
3. Rich, bright, crisp screen. HD videos looks amazing. True 16:9 tablet.
4. Surprisingly high quality camera, both front and back. Although I can't see using tablets as cameras. Front cameras I think are much more useful (video chat).
5. Solid feel to the tablet. Very well built.
6. Bridging your BB phone to take advantage of free tethering is ingenious and proprietary.
7. Can root/hack to install Google OS (Honeycomb/Ice Cream Sandwich), to have the best of both worlds, Android and QNX.
8. Great sound/speakers for a tablet. Intelligently positioned in the front.

Cons: 1. No native email/calendar client. (Will be fixed in OS 2.0)
2. No apps in Appworld. (Will be fixed once Android apps are running on the PB after OS 2.0).

Other Thoughts: I couldn't pass up the 50% off sale. $299 for the 64GB version. Plus, the 400+ positive customer reviews definitely helped make the purchase easier.

The 1st couple of days I wasn't very impressed. Being an iPad 1 user since day one, the PB took time getting used to. The 4th to 5th day it started to grow on me. I now strongly believe that QNX is an amazing OS. The swipe gestures on the PB are ingenious. Truly proprietary.

As others have stated I do believe that RIM rushed the PB. Not having native email and calendar is mind boggling. How could they have released the PB without two of the most important clients, especially when all BB users are known for both there email and calendar capability?

Anywho, knowing that the OS 2.0 update in February of 2011 will take care of these issues is a relief and a welcome update. Also, the fact that Android apps will be running on the PB truly makes the PB the "best bang for your buck tablet", in my opinion.

Honestly, once
