4 out of 5 eggsGreat computer

Pros: Fast.
Discrete graphics - can play games well.
Nice looking machine.
Great build quality.
Even Vista seems fast.

Cons: Glossy finish is fingerprinty.

Other Thoughts: I would have preferred a matte finish. I mean--this exact machine, with a matte or even slightly testured finish, and I would have rated this 5 out of 5.
Speed wise, you can play virtually any game currently released on this laptop. For example, I tested out Left 4 Dead, and it runs great.

My only beef is that I use this for work and it is a little rcy looking. I wish it were more professional looking.

You can get these mobile AMD laptops that perform comparably with Core 2 Duo Intels, but for $200 cheaper.

I was sorried about it, but I am not any more. Great purchase, great machine.

5 out of 5 eggsInstalled XP

Pros: Installed the Vista drivers at Toshiba site for XP and used my 780G motherboard drivers for the rest was able to get them all. Their is a mod out on the web for the mobility graphics card if you want to update to the latest ATI graphics drivers in Vista. I did install XP on a spare 80G hard drive I had to keep warranty intact.

Cons: Toshiba software add-ons, short battery life.

Other Thoughts: I hope AMD is around for a long time, otherwise this laptop for the money would not be possible.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: For the price i paid (six-fiddy) it was a very good deal. You wont find another computer for that price with 512mb gfx card. Works very well for everything i use it for, runs 64bit fedora and opensuse very well

Good sound

Cons: 3d acceleration drivers for the mobility hd 3650 on linux are nowhere to be found. If you intend to utilize linux, dont expect to do anything that a standard integrated card wouldnt, not the fault of toshiba or newegg just a lack of drivers on ATI's part

battery life is so so

Other Thoughts: Great computer, could be a desktop replacement for most.

Smudge magnet!!!! Fingerprints everywhere, i guess that could be annoying to some but i could care less.

The way the trackpad is flush with the surface of the rest of the computer is pretty cool too

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT FOR THE PRICE

Pros: Amazing specs, got it on a weekend deal for $750. Thank you newegg for the great deal on such an amzing laptop. This one does it all. This one will last me 4-5 years, no doubt.
Love the keyboard and touchpad.

Cons: Not much here, just maybe an hour of crapware removal, and it's super glossy.

Other Thoughts: I ordered one for myself, and one for a family friend. Both of us are happy =D

5 out of 5 eggsNice first laptop

Pros: It's fast enough can run Dragon NaturallySpeaking its 32 bit so I can load some older games such as ultra pinball it's not too big and not too small.

Cons: It doesn't come with a Windows disk so you can do a clean install but then again what store-bought's do. I rather see the bloatware on a desk instead of preinstalled but that's the way it goes for store-bought. It has a glossy screen not a big deal but I prefer mat

Other Thoughts: It's gone up since I purchased it but I expect it'll go back down. Very good Laptop for the price I did a lot of comparing this one was very rounded you have to be careful because they'll offer you a big screen but a smaller battery and batteries can be pretty expensive or a better video card but no processor so on and so forth

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Awesome video card, plays Left 4 Dead and hi def movies no problem. Keyboard, screen hinge, other components feel very solid. Good heat venting.

Cons: Slow 5400 rpm harddrive. When coming off a desktop with a raptor, the difference is enormous. As expected with a dedicated graphics card, the battery life is so-so. Takes a couple hours to get rid of all the initial crapware.

Other Thoughts: Sleek and shiny black, lots of LEDs. There's a glowing white strip above the touchpad, what's that about?

5 out of 5 eggsEven better than expected

Pros: - Killer price for specs
- Dedicated video card (I can play Command and Conquer on it!)
- Large Hard Drive
- Web Cam with Microphone (although not listed in the specs it had them)
- Decent Battery life of over two hours
- Good cooling system with fans

Cons: - A little heavy, although that's expected with all that's in it
- the AC adapter for it is doble the size of my 105 sattelite, although, since this one consumes double the current of that one it's understandable

Other Thoughts: I have been looking for a laptop to replace my 5 years old Toshiba Sattelite for a while, after I got some games and videos it couldn't play anymore. This was the only laptop with dedicated graphics for under $700. Very satisfied with it, I hope it lasts as long as my previous one.
One complaint to NewEgg is that it didn't say it had WebCam! They should advertise it better, it's better than they say it is.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: I bought this for $650 and it was going to be used for when I'm deployed in Iraq. It actually manages to play L4D and TF2 which is pretty impressive. The sound is actually better than most $1000+ laptops. I also like the volume wheel, which is a personal preference I suppose.

Cons: There is no lock when closing the lid, but that's not a big deal to me. It also runs hotter than most laptops, but everything's running well so far.

Other Thoughts: $800 is a fair price, but getting it at $650 + free shipping did not require thinking.
